page 5 of 32 This is the view of the first hundred yards or so of my marathon walk along the coast. It was low tide and there were no water skiers on the water at this time. The white and green area in the middle of the picture is seaweed and slime on top of chalk bedrock, and that bedrock is actually the eroded roots of what once was chalk cliffs.
