24th April 2010 Walking from Birchingon On Sea to herne Bay (note: I am using a new format for this set of pages. Each page will have just one picture with a caption underneath and navigation buttons to take you to the next picture. It should make loading a bit faster)

page 9 of 32 I thought I had been walking for some time when I took this photo, but when I used Google maps satelite view to identify where it was I found that it was still at Birchington. This kiddies pool actually marks the start of the Birchington On Sea beach. The explanation as to why I thought it was further down the coast is that I walked slightly eastwards from the railway station to get to the sea, and the town centre is to the west of the station. The beach itself is on the western fringes of the town.
