The towering cliffs between Reculve and Herne Bay

I had walked over 6 miles to get to the ruins at Reculver, and I had another foot weary 3.5 miles to go. The next bit of the walk was dominated by very high crumbling cliffs. This picture does not do justice to their height at some places. Although not as high as the chalk cliffs I saw on my visit to Samphire Hoe near Dover last year, they are at least as high as a 4 or 5 storey building in places.
