Walking from Birchingon On Sea to herne Bay

(note: I am using a new format for this set of pages. Each page will have just one picture with a caption underneath and navigation buttons to take you to the next picture. It should make loading a bit faster)
very recent fall of rock from the cliffs

The light brown rock in the centre of the picture is from a very recent rock fall. It could even have happened earlier in the morning for all I knew. So I didn't want to get too close to it, but I did approach one of the closest boulders. It looked very crumbly, almost as if one kick would break it apart, but it was harder than I imagined. I had hoped to spot a fossil among the debris. I saw a lot of flinty pebbles, but nothing that looked like a fossil to me.
