It was still very pleasantly warm yesterday despite the temperature probably being 6° lower than the day before. It was just 23° C in the afternoon. From time to time some clouds gathered and quickly went away again, and it was dry.

The very latest revision to the forecast says that only 9 to 11 will feature sunny spells, and the rest of the day will be generally dull, and maybe very dull sometime in the evening. I note that the time of the dark clouds keeps changing, and I guess they could appear at any time. There is only a 10% chance of rain at any time today, and the chances are that it will stay dry. Today the temperature may only rise to 22° C - which is very comfortable, but not exciting. Tomorrow may be very dull almost all day, but the temperature could rise to 24° C.

I had a good time yesterday, and ended up very drunk. I started yesterday morning with a very high blood glucose reading, and decided that some fasting was in order, although I still had  my breakfast bowl of instant noodles. It wasn't in any way what I had planned, but it turned out that those instant noodles were all I ate yesterday, and that is a great excuse for why I got so drunk.

The one thing I did in the morning besides washing my hair, and having a shower, was to wash a pair of shorts, two t-shirts and two pairs of underpants. I got them on the washing line nice and early, and I thought I would be bringing them in, all warm and dry, later in the afternoon. That never happened.

At midday I went next door to join next doors little party. It was just a few neighbours, and no (potentially) boring relatives. Sue, the lady next door said don't bring anything because she had laid on plenty of booze, and plenty of nibbles. The one thing I didn't do was to eat anything - great for my blood glucose level, but maybe not so good when drinking quite liberally.

Sue had only got 4 cans of Guinness, and despite saying I would only be drinking two before going home, I soon finished all four off. I was relaxed and enjoying myself by then, and wanted to continue drinking. I was offered lager, but lager often contains a lot of sugar. The alternative was to go on the spirits. I started off with neat Bacardi with ice but it was pretty horrible until I added some Diet Coke, but even then I wasn't enjoying it. Sue didn't have any whisky, and so I popped home for 5 minutes to get a bottle of whiskey.

We had started at midday, and by about 6.26pm, judging by a picture I seemed to have taken of the ground for no apparent reason, I was so drunk that something happened, and I can't remember how it happened. I think I may have been about to sit down and possibly missed the chair, but it is possible I fell off the chair, or the chair tipped over. What I know definitely happened is that I ended up sprawled on the ground.

Unfortunately I was tucked in a corner with plant pots around the back of me. I had very little room to manoeuvre, and I had real difficulty getting up. A couple of people offered to try and pull me upright, but I doubt any would have been strong enough. In between laughing I gradually inched a bit this way and a bit that way, and finally got myself into a kneeling position, and then got up from there. I was so drunk that I only remember the coarsest of details, and I only know that I got into a kneeling position when I saw my well grazed knees in the light this morning. I also picked up a few scratches on my arms.

I decided it would be prudent to go home after that. I remember walking through next door's house, and then opening my own front door. The last thing I remember is closing the door behind myself, and the next thing I remember is waking up at about 1.30am this morning. As far as I can tell I just went straight to bed, and probably went out like a night. I was possible fast asleep for about 6 hours, and maybe a little more. That would explain why I hardly got any sleep after 1.30am, and ended up getting up before 6am.

My fasting, and only drinking safe drinks, meant my blood glucose hit an all time low of 7.1mmol/l. (All time low since 31st of January when I had a reading of 6.5mmol/l). I thought I deserved my instant noodle breakfast this morning. As well as eating breakfast, I also brought in the washing from the washing line. After being out all night it felt slightly damp, and I have hung it up indoors to dry out again because sunshine is in very short supply today.

I am happy to say my hangover is not of the painful variety, but I don't feel that great. There has been some improvement since having breakfast. I think I am liable to have some elevenses later. Today I ought to be going to Tesco, but I don't feel like it this morning. Maybe I might go this afternoon. Right now I think I will try for a snooze.
