After a
fairly fresh start to the day, 17°
C at 7am, full sunshine should
warm the day up to 27° C at 3pm,
and then some sunny spells may
raise the temperature to 28° C by
5pm. After that the temperature
will slowly fall, but by 3am it
will still be 19° C. Tomorrow will
see a change in the weather. It
will be a much cloudier day with a
small chance of rain for most of
the morning, and very high chance
for 11am tomorrow. The temperature
will reach a peak of 25° C quite
late in the afternoon, and from
5pm there could be 3 hours of
sunny spells.
Yesterday was another day
where I seemed very busy doing
very little. Probably the most
real use of my time was to go
shopping. A lot of other stuff was
to do with preparing to go out to
Chattfest today.
It felt good to get out to
do some shopping in Tesco. I
bought some stuff I needed, and
some stuff I may have done better
not to buy, but did anyway. The
one item I am annoyed I forgot was
a 4 pack of small cans of sugar
free (or low sugar) baked beans.
The walk to and from Tesco was OK,
but it was enough that when
combined with having some
breakfast, I did not feel like
going out again. I could have gone
out to sit my the river with
Margaret, but I felt both slightly
tired, and not having the time to
spare.
My one big project
(although "project" makes it sound
rather grand) was to top up the
batteries for the two cameras I am
taking to Chattfest today. I also
selected the lenses, and gave the
lenses a quick wipe with a special
lens cloth to remove any dust.
Then I had to fit everything in
one of my camera carrying
rucksacks. I got everything in,
but not in a very neat fashion
like you see in sales brochures -
although they usually only show
one camera and a selection of
lenses. Getting two big and bulky
cameras in neatly is not so easy.
Plus in the sales brochure they
usually show the camera without a
lens attached - I leave the lenses
I will be using on te cameras, and
that makes for two bulky shapes.
I think I ate too much
yesterday, although maybe I
didn't. This morning I have
already eaten some breakfast, and
I didn't check my blood glucose
before eating. I must make a point
of doing that tomorrow morning. I
did eat some ice cream, and some
fruit for extra fibre in my diet
yesterday, and both could have
increased my blood glucose a lot
unless the Ozempic drug I am
injecting is starting to help my
blood glucose like Mounjaro did.
My intention was to get an
early night, last night, but I
watched the same old TV
programmes, and I didn't go to bed
until gone 10pm. I read for a bit,
and I know I turned out the light
at exactly 11pm - and so not an
early night at all. Maybe if I had
tried earlier I might have taken a
long time to get to sleep, but I
think at 11pm I fell asleep very
quickly. I don't think I remember
anything until I woke up at about
5am needing a pee.
I almost got up at 5am, but
after taking screen shots of the
weather forecasts, and weighing
myself, I went back to bed. I did
get some sleep, maybe in short
segments, before getting up
properly closer to 8am - a bit
later than intended. Since than I
have had one small packet of
instant noodles for breakfast. I
didn't think I should try and do a
long day of photography on a
completely empty stomach. Besides
which, breakfast seemed to trigger
the need for a poo. I knew I
needed one, but nothing seemed to
be moving. I think I am
comfortable now.
This feels like a good time
to stop writing, and upload this
to my web server. I still need to
wash my hair, and have a shower
before going out. The first band
on at Chattfest is at 1pm, and for
once I would liken to get there
before they start. In Saturday
traffic through Bromley it could
take a full hour door to door
(there is a 6 minute walk to the
bus stop here, and maybe a 10 or
more minute wait for the bus, plus
a 6 minute walk when I get off the
bus on the other side of Bromley.
Hopefully and hour will be enough,
and that means leaving here before
midday, and maybe 11:30am to be on
the safe side. Tomorrow I may only
have time for a brief description
of today, but I'll see what I can
manage.
