Today started off dull, but the clouds were soon parting, and as I write this (9:16am) we seem to be having a very long sunny spell. Maybe the full sunshine shown in the forecast is happening early. This afternoon may only see 25° C for a single hour, and most of the afternoon may only be 24° C. The chances of any rain today are shown as 0%. Tonight may be a bit cooler than last night (which seemed to be several degrees warmer than forecast). Tomorrow may start at 15° C and full sunshine. Tomorrow afternoon may reach 25° C for several hours, but by then we may only see sunny spells. Once again, not a drop of rain is forecast.

  A few notable things happened yesterday, and I guess that made it a good day. The day ended with a beer tasting session, and included a notable breakthrough. That, and other stuff, will be revealed in the entire narrative for today, and that can be read in my complete archived page for today.

  There is enough light cloud in the sky to occasionally dim the sunshine, and today may only see a high of 27° C, and while not as hot as yesterday, is still going to feel warm, and possibly a bit muggy. At 7pm there is an 18% chance of rain, and so it will probably stay completely dry again. There is a very small chance of rain in the early hours. Tomorrow could start dull, but there may be a couple of hours of sunny spells that will be followed by non stop, full sunshine from 9am. The afternoon temperature may only reach 25° C, and that is probably a nice temperature - not too cool, and not to hot.

  It is now late in the morning, and I need to keep this short. I had a busy and lazy day yesterday. The busy was mostly photo editing, and the lazy was being very lazy. What I have managed to write can be read, and a few more pictures viewed, in my complete archived page for today.

  Right now the sky is blue, and the forecast says it will be clear blue all day, and we will frazzle under full sunshine from dawn to dusk. This afternoon could see 33° C. Tomorrow could start with full sunshine, but by 10am it may only be sunny spells. From 2pm it may be dull, dull but quite warm Tomorrow afternoon may be cooler than today, but 27° C could still be rather sweaty if the humidity is high.

  No rain is forecast for today. The day has started sunny, although a lot of the day may only see sunny spells. The afternoon may reach 27° C, and with 4pm shown as full sunshine, it could feel hot this afternoon - maybe hot and sweaty ! We should have another very mild night, but not hot enough to earn the description of "Tropical Night". Like today, there could be full sunshine to start and end the day, but the middle may only see sunny spells. From 3pm the temperature may peak at 28° C.

  Yesterday was another day dominated by Chattfest, but only the after effects. I had bought a ticket for the Sunday session, but I didn't go for reasons that I will reveal later in the narrative (and there were more than I could have described yesterday morning).   Today should see a change of scenery - rain ! The rain should be falling as I write this, but so far it seems bone dry. There is a lot of cloud in the sky, and some looks heavy enough for rain, but there are also still blue patches to be seen, and the sun is still shining through one at the moment. Today should be cooler than yesterday, but a peak of 25° C is still rather warm. Late afternoon and early evening may see more sunny spells. Tomorrow could be dry with lots of sunshine. Tomorrow afternoon may see 26° C.

  Yesterday was all about Chattfest, but apart from showing a few snaps, I can't remember enough fine details to describe the whole day. The first selection of snaps, plus a bit more about my day, can be seen in my complete archived page for today.

  After a fairly fresh start to the day, 17° C at 7am, full sunshine should warm the day up to 27° C at 3pm, and then some sunny spells may raise the temperature to 28° C by 5pm. After that the temperature will slowly fall, but by 3am it will still be 19° C. Tomorrow will see a change in the weather. It will be a much cloudier day with a small chance of rain for most of the morning, and very high chance for 11am tomorrow. The temperature will reach a peak of 25° C quite late in the afternoon, and from 5pm there could be 3 hours of sunny spells.

  Yesterday was another day where I seemed very busy doing very little. Probably the most real use of my time was to go shopping.   Today is almost going to follow the same pattern as the last few days - nice sunny spells in the morning, and several hours of dullness in the afternoon. The temperature should reach 27° C as we build up to another mini heatwave at the end of the month. Once again it will be a cool-ish night. Tomorrow could start at a fresh 17° C at 6am, but most of the day will feature full sunshine, or sunny spells. The afternoon should reach 27° C again, but tomorrow it could feel warmer thanks to the sunny afternoon

  Yesterday was a sort of busy day. I didn't manage to finish writing yesterday's diary in the morning, and had to write a rushed ending at 7pm last night. Maybe the day being busy was good, or maybe not. I think I prefer my usual. more relaxed, more lazy days.   This morning started fairly chilly again, but with nice sunny spells. I think it was later than the 11am shown in the forecast when the sunny spells seemed to almost stop for a while, but there were some sunny spells in the afternoon, and the sunny spells seemed to resume well before the forecast 8pm. The afternoon was like yesterday - it was still quite warm during the afternoon. Most of the afternoon was 25° C. Tonight could still see 19, and then 18° C. Tomorrow morning could see a mix of sunny spells and and even some full sunshine.

  Yesterday was a strangely busy day - at least in the sense that I only seemed to find the time to write a very brief, and incomplete description of my day. All I wrote can be read here.

  Last night was a couple of degrees less chilly than the night before, but it still feel rather cool once I came out from under my duvet. As I write this it is clouding over and we may lose even the sunny spells we have had (and still have at the moment). Oddly enough, despite a dull afternoon, the temperature may still hit 25° C - one degree more than yesterday. Tomorrow may be an even cloudier day than today, and the temperature a degree less. like today, it should still be dry.

  Yesterday was another day when not a lot happened. The highlight might have been seeing Margaret in the park again, but that didn't happen. I did go for a walk in the park though. On top of that, I never manage to finish writing all I intended yesterday, but the bit I did right, and a selection of pictures taken in the park can be seen in my (in)complete archived page for today.

  This morning started fairly chilly again. Some sunshine is helping to warm things up now, but we will lose it at 11am, and much of the afternoon may be a bit dull. The afternoon temperature should reach 24° C. A few degrees less and it might be time to dig out my long trousers again ! Most hours of tomorrow will feature sunny spells, and the afternoon should reach 25° C. Today and tomorrow should be completely dry, and it seems we may not see any rain until the end of the month - maybe !

  Yesterday was one of those days where there is little to say about the day. I think I only did one significant thing, and that was to go out shopping.   The early hours of this morning were fairly chilly. By 6am it was just 13° C. Full sunshine until 2pm will warm the afternoon up to a very pleasant 24° C. From 3pm we will probably lose the full sunshine, but sunny spells should continue until sunset. Tonight may be less chilly than this morning with the temperature only dropping to 16° C. Tomorrow may see mostly sunny spells all day, and the afternoon may rise to 25° C.

  I don't think yesterday was specially good, but it seemed pleasant enough. Maybe I was resting on my laurels after my walk the previous day.   At 7am it was just 14° C, but for a few hours full sunshine, and then sunny spells should warm today up to a maximum of 22° C. That seems poor for mid July, but it is a very comfortable temperature, and I am not complaining ! Once again it will be a very chilly night with the temperature even lower - just 13° C at 4am tomorrow morning. Tomorrow will start with full sunshine, but by midday gathering clouds will reduce that to sunny spells, and from 3pm we may lose the sun completely ! Tomorrow afternoon, even without sunshine, should reach 23° C - a degree higher than today.

  Yesterday was quite a good day. Some hours were dull, but probably not boring, and other hours were rather good. I guess the rest of the day was just "average". Most of my day, plus some notes about this morning, is all described in my complete archived page for today.

  This morning there is a lot of thin light cloud, but it seems the sun has not failed to find a path through it so far this morning. Maybe by 3pm the cloud will be thick enough to completely block the sun for 3 or 4 hours. The afternoon temperature should still rise to a comfortably warm 24° C (for just one hour at 4pm), it will stay dry all day. Tonight coud get fairly cold with just 14° C shown for 3am tomorrow. By 6am tomorrow, it may be just 13° C. Tomorrow may be a lot cooler than recently, and although there should be sunshine and sunny spells, the afternoon temperature may peak at just 22° C, but like today, it should be a dry day. We may have to wait until Monday the 27th for the first fall of rain.

  I am not sure how to describe yesterday, but I guess falling back on the vague "good and bad" probably sums my day up. I guess the first half of the day was the good bit, and the evening the main bad bit, but there were other bad bits during the day !   Like the last few days, today will see a mix of full sunshine and sunny spells, with probably more hours of full sunshine than hours of sunny spells. The afternoon should reach 28° C, and with only a light breeze it could feel quite warm out. There is a 10% and 19% chance of rain at 7pm and 8pm, but no rain is actually shown on the forecast. Tomorrow could see full sunshine from sunrise until 2pm when some cloud will reduce it to just sunny spells. Tomorrow afternoon may peak at just 24° C, and that may feel quite cool after recent hot and very hot weather.

  Yesterday was quite a productive day, and yet there were several things I didn't do - including not going shopping again. The most productive thing used up the whole evening, and made me late for bed.   At 6am this morning it was a fresh feeling 17° C. It is currently very sunny, and by 1pm the temperature may rise to 27° C, but from then on we may only sunny spells until full sunshine returns at 6pm until sunset. Tonight looks like it may be fairly fresh like last night. Tomorrow may start cool, but with clear skies. There could be full sunshine until 1pm, and by then the temperature may only reach 25° C. Even with just sunny spells, the temperature may still climb to reach a peak of 27° C by 3pm tomorrow.

  Yesterday was a good and bad day. I guess I was good and bad too, but only with regard to some lifestyle choices. As noted yesterday, I had a phone call from Jodie suggesting we might bring the beer tasting session forward from Thursday to Wednesday. That made for a complete change of plans.   My thermometers said it was still 19° C at about 6am. I think that still means last night could be called a tropical night, although it didn't seem to feel hot and sweaty like most tropical nights. The earlier sunny spells have now given away to full, non stop sunshine, but cooler winds from the east mean this afternoon may only see a high of 27° C. As I write this (10:41am) it is already 25° C, and so only 2° to go. The full sunshine should continue until sunset, and then clear skies may allow the temperature to drop fairly fast to 19° C by 2am tomorrow morning. It looks like it may feel quite fresh tonight. Only a few hours tomorrow afternoon will feature just sunny spells, and the rest of tomorrow will see full, non stop sunshine. The afternoon may only reach 27° C - the same as today.

  Yesterday featured another bad disappointment, but was mostly a quiet day. I had two plans for yesterday that never happened, and they were because of a mix of waiting for a parcel/packet delivery (which did arrive this time) and some ongoing aftershocks from my stomach upset.   This morning the sky is fairly cloudy, and that makes it look grey in some directions, but some sunny spells are still getting through. Like yesterday it was a cool night and today started at just 16° C at 6am. The sunny spells are getting a bit longer, and by 3pm we could have full sunshine until sunset. The sunshine will take this afternoon's temperature up to 30° C by 3pm. That is maybe a little too hot, but it depends on what you are doing. The sunshine should continue until sunset. Tonight may not be quite as fresh as last night - it may still be 19° C at 3am. Tomorrow may start with sunny spells, and 18° C at 6am. By 8am we could have full, non stop sunshine until sunset. Tomorrow after may be slightly cooler at just 28° C - which should feel OK.

  This morning there are straggly clouds that occasionally dim the sun, but at the moment it is quite sunny.  By midday the forecast promises full sunshine, but it will only raise the temperature from this morning's 15° C to 26° C for a couple of hours. From 7pm some more light clouds will change the full sunshine to sunny spells until sunset. It is going to be another cool night. Tomorrow may start at 17° C, and it will be cloudy. The cloud will lift by 11am, and then we may have full sunshine until sunset. Tomorrow afternoon's high may be a warm 19° C.

  Yesterday should have been a good day, and a lot of it was not too bad. It is a shame I rather wrecked everything later in the the afternoon.   The first few hours of today were dull, but I think it was a bright sort of dull ! From 9am full sunshine is forecast until sunset. That will take the temperature up to 28° C after a fairly cool start. last night escaped being another tropical night, and even now it still feels fairly fresh (currently 22° C at 10am). Tomorrow could start as low as 15° C, and the first few hours will only feature sunny spells. Full sunshine may only start at midday, and tomorrow afternoon may only reach 26° C. That should still be nice and warm in the sunshine, but not too warm.

  Yesterday was quite a good day for some types of good. Despite saying I ought to go out somewhere, I stayed in all day, but I managed to control my sugar intake well enough to get my blood glucose level down to almost sane levels.   With an early hours temperature as low as 18° C at 6am, it just scraped under the definition of a tropical night, last night. Today may be a whole degree cooler than yesterday, but a day of non stop sunshine, and 29° C predicted for this afternoon, it is still going to be a bit sweaty......although a breeze from the east may help it feel fresher.  Tomorrow is going to be very sunny again, and once again the afternoon temperature may peak at 28° C, but if the forecast turns out to be the same as reality, it will only be for two hour at 2 and 3pm The temperature drops a degree or two per hour either side of that. The breeze, once again from an easterly (or north easterly) direction may be a bit stronger, and may make it feel even fresher (but may be only in the shade).

  Yesterday I was sort of busy taking remedial action after I found my blood glucose had gone super high in the morning. What I did helped, but the danger is not over yet.   After another tropical night, with the temperature over 20° C, it was still 21° C at 6am. At the moment the sky not fully clear, but we have full sunshine, and the full sunshine could continue until midday. The afternoon may only see sunny spells, and maybe the temperature will only peak at 29° C - which is quite hot enough.  From 5pm full sunshine may resume, but tonight may escape being a dubbed a tropical night by the skin of it's teeth. The night time temperature may be 19° C. Tomorrow may see full sunshine all day, but the afternoon temperature may only reach 28° C. Tomorrow night may almost be cool by comparison, but the forecast 17° C is still going to mean having a fan on all night.

  Yesterday could be described as a disaster, or at least the end result of it was. I'll explain that later. Other than that is seemed a mostly pleasant day, and it was a pleasant beer tasting afternoon, but that left it's legacy, and it was a very bad one.   This morning, at about 6am, it was 23° C after what seems to be now called a "tropical" night (with the night time temperature over 20° C). By this afternoon the temperature could reach 33° C. The afternoon may only see sunny spells after a morning of full sunshine. I doubt the sunny spells will give any respite, and I feel that the afternoon could be very humid and extremely sticky. After sunset it will cool off, but it looks like tonight will be another hot and sticky tropical night. Tomorrow may feature almost non stop sunshine, but a maximum of only 29° C is forecast - probably because the wind will be from the east.

  I have already described yesterday morning because I continued to write after I came back from seeing the nurse. I guess I could describe yesterday as one of the better days, although maybe I am paying for it now. My full entry for today can be read in my complete archived page for today.

  The forecast of 21° C this morning seems correct. If the rest of the forecast is correct we will see non stop sunshine, and an afternoon temperature of 32° C. That could feel quite hot and sweaty. There will be another hot night with the temperature staying over 20° C all night. Tomorrow may see a little less sunshine - the afternoon may only see sunny spells - but the afternoon temperature may still rise to 32° C. It seems we are having another heatwave that may only start to cool a bit in a weeks time.

  Yesterday was a very frustrating day. It seemed like the parcel I was waiting for might never be delivered despite Yodel's terrible website suggesting it was on it's way - without really giving any details. On the other had, I did manage to lose a useful amount of weight, and my parcel did arrive before the day was over.   Last night, and this morning, my barometers predicting rain. Last night the forecast said clear skies, but a glimpse out of the window showed dark, heavy clouds. It seemed to be all the ingredients for a thunderstorm. There was no thunderstorm in the night, and today's forecast shows non stop sunshine all day. That seems slightly unlikely because a lot of the sky looks a bit milky from lots of thin, high altitude, clouds that will attenuate some of the sunshine. Having said that, the sky to the south is starting to look blue, and maybe non stop sunshine is now not looking unlikely. The only surprise left is that today will be one degree cooler than yesterday with the afternoon only forecast to be 30° C, although that is quite hot enough, and in direct sunshine it could be scorching hot ! Tomorrow could be a re-run of today, but the afternoon may reach 31° C.

  Yesterday had it's moments, but mostly it was a frustrating day. On the other hand, I was pleased that I managed two tasks successfully, although I am not really sure how I should desc,ribe that success. I'll explain that a bit further down the page.   Apart from the first and last hour of the forecast, today should feature full sunshine, and that should raise the afternoon temperature to 31° C. It seems we will have a hot and dry day. Tomorrow may feature full sunshine all day long, but contrary to earlier forecasts, when something like 34° C was predicted, the latest prediction for tomorrow is only 29° C.

  Yesterday was quite a good day, but it also brought hardships because of my very high, and getting dangerous, blood glucose. Trying to fast was the worst hardship. I did manage to get myself out for a walk in the park, and that may have helped a bit, but not enough.   Like yesterday, this morning seems fairly cloudy, but the sun still keeps finding gaps in the cloud to shine through now and then. It is possible that between 10 and 11am the clouds will be thick enough to completely block the sun. By 7pm we may get a few hours of full sunshine before the sun sets. It will be cooler than yesterday by a single degree - today's high, at 4pm may be  27° C. No rain is forecast for today. Tomorrow could feature full sunshine throughout the daylight hours. It could raise the temperature to a sizzling 30° C by 3pm. By Wednesday we could see afternoon temperatures of just over 30° C for several days. The Met Office predict some days could see 33° C, and yet maybe it is because it is now July, no weather warnings or extreme heat have been issued (yet).

  Yesterday was, in some respects, quite a good day. Yesterday I finished by saying I would definitely not be going out at all. It was supposed to be reverse psychology, and it worked.   This morning it seemed fairly bright, but it was a couple of hour later before I saw sunshine strong enough to cast a shadow. It is still quite cloudy, and just as I wrote the last sentence the sun went in. To my mind it looks like it could rain, although no rain is shown on the forecast. From 3pm to 9pm we could have full sunshine, and that may raise the temperature to a very sweaty 28° C if the humidity is high as well. Before 3pm we may just have sunny spells, or sunny intervals (and I am unsure what the difference is between the two).  Once again it should be another very dry day. Tomorrow may see more sunny intervals than full sunshine, but the temperature should reach 28° C again, but maybe just for a single hour. Tomorrow should also be a dry day.

  Yesterday was another day when I thought I might do stuff, but somehow I either could not be bothered, or distracted myself by reading (both book and the internet) enough that I ended up doing nothing else.   Yesterday could be said to have been dominated by just two things, and the rest of the day was rather dull. The first major thing happened after a minor, but still important thing - a shower. Later on I would go shopping, tidy the kitchen, and taste some new beers with Jodie and Michael. However the clouds are starting to dissipate, and we should/could soon see some sunny spells, and from midday there could be full sunshine (which I find hard to believe). The cold start to tomorrow may not last long because full sunshine is forecast for the first hours of the morning.
