09:23 BST
I think there may have been a bit of rain yesterday afternoon, but it seemed like most of the day was dry. The morning was sunny, or had sunny spells, and the late afternoon reached 21° C.The thunderstorm, originally predicted for 9pm was re-forecast for midnight. It must have been a very quiet thunderstorm because I heard nothing, and I am not even sure there was any rain. ![]() This morning has started
fairly sunny with long sunny spells. There could be
a small splash of rain very late in the afternoon at
4 and 5pm, but with only a 35% of it happening it is
most likely to stay dry. The afternoon should see
21° C. Unfortunately a lot of the day will be dull.
Once again, CORRECTION: The latest revision
to the forecast shows light rain, or drizzle, from
midday to 6pm, but once again the highest chance is
only 41% at 4pm. That probably means most of that
time will be dry. The headline figure for tomorrow
looks good, but the afternoon will still only see
21° C. Tomorrow morning may be bright for a while,
but then there will only be occasional sunny spells
in a mostly dull day.
Yesterday was another mostly OK, but not very exciting day. There was no beer drinking, but I did wash 6 pairs of underpants, and a t-shirt. This and more is all more fully described in my complete archived page today which includes all that happened yesterday, plus some notes about this morning. |

10:26 BST
A lot of rain, plus some thunderstorms were forecast for yesterday, and indeed there was some rain, but I remember it as mainly dry, and I certainly didn't hear any thunderclaps. The afternoon was forecast to be almost cold at just 17° C, but it rose to 19° C by 3pm. That was when the thunderstorms were supposed to start, but didn't. I must admit, I thought most of the afternoon, and early evening was actually around 20° C. ![]() Today has started off nice
and bright. The "sunny spells" seem so long that it
would not be inaccurate to describe it as sunny as I
write this. Maybe this afternoon will see some light
rain. The afternoon should reach 21° C, but after
5pm it will slowly start to cool. By 9pm it may only
be 18° C, which is still not that bad, but that may
also be when we get a thunderstorm to start some
light rain for much of the night. CORRECTION:
The latest update to the forecast has moved the
thunderstorm to midnight tonight. Tomorrow may be
mostly dry, but it will be dull, and the afternoon
temperature may only reach 21° C, but that is the
same as today, and I don't think it will feel cold.
Yesterday was mostly OK, but with one big disappointment that was actually of no consequence. Perhaps the best thing about yesterday was that I went out shopping in just a t-shirt, and didn't feel a drop of rain. The rest of my day yesterday, plus the usual notes about this morning, can be read in my complete archived page about yesterday. |

08:52 BST
I can re-use this again - Yesterday was a bit wet in the morning, but the rest of the day seemed to be dry. There were certainly no thunderstorms, but I may have missed a short sprinkling of light rain. I think it was about 4pm when I heard some distant thunder, but it was quite bright here with some long sunny spells. The afternoon reached 23° C. ![]() Today has started off wet,
and it may continue to be wet all day. So far I have
only seen light sprinkles of rain, but heavier rain
is forecast. From late afternoon there could be
thundery showers, but I find the BBC forecast tend
to get over eager to forecast thundery showers.
Maybe we will get a couple, but not 6 hours of them
as in the forecast. It is notable that the Met
Office forecast shows rain for most of the day, but
most of it is shown as light rain, and there is not
a single mention of thunderstorms. Tomorrow may
start dull, but there will be sunny spells from late
afternoon until sunset, although the periods between
the sunny spells may be a bit long. There may be
light rain from early evening onwards, and 7pm could
see a thunderstorm.
Yesterday was not a good day, although there was only one thing that really spoiled it. Although it was sort of expected. It was all one big distraction that altered the proper course of my day. That one thing was my upcoming visit to the hospital for a colonoscopy and gastroscopy. This and other stuff is expanded upon in my complete archived page about yesterday, and which, as usual, has some notes about this morning. |

07:33 BST
Yesterday was a bit wet in the morning, but the rest of the day seemed to be dry. There were certainly no thunderstorms, but I may have missed a short sprinkling of light rain. The afternoon reached 23° C. Some rain was forecast for after dark and I really have no idea if any rain fell then. ![]() This morning is nice and
bright. The sky is currently blue to the south, but
there are some fluffy clouds to the north. There do
seem to be some darker clouds just above the visible
horizon to the north. The forecast says sunny
spells, and maybe even an hour of full sunshine
until 3pm when there is a mere 38% of rain. at 4pm
the chance goes up to 58%, and so it probably will
rain, but I have doubts it will be a thunderstorm,
although it could happen. 5 and 6pm show a 55 and
54% chance of light rain. After that it should be
dry, but dull until nightfall. Tomorrow is forecast
to be very wet with a chance of a lot of thundery
showers according to the BBC (Meteo) forecast, and
the Met Office forecast scales that down to mainly
light rain with no thunderstorms.
Yesterday was, as I predicted in the morning, a day of rest. I wondered if I might end up doing something, but I didn't. I can sum up yesterday as reading, snoozing and eating, plus some TV watching. I have written a bit more than that, but not much about yesterday, and it can be read in my complete archived page about yesterday, and which includes some notes about this morning too. |

09:49 BST
Yesterday was another nice day. The was some rain first thing in the morning, and then the forecast gave a fair chance of rain until mid afternoon, but it stayed dry with nice sunny spells. The afternoon reached 25° C, and it only fell to 20° C by 2am this morning. ![]() This morning it was still
19° C at 7am, and it was raining. I was actually
woken up by the sound of heavy rain on my bedroom
window. There were a more heavy showers, but the
forecast thunderstorm did not visit to within
earshot of here. More rain is forecast, but it is
either very, very light, or it has stopped for now.
The next thunderstorm could happen in less than 30
minutes, but I have doubts about it, as I do for the
prediction of another thunderstorm at 1pm. I can
believe there will be more rain though. This
afternoon should reach a mildly warm 23° C. A lot
more rain is shown for the second half of the day,
but the chances of it are shown as less than 45%,
and them usually means it will be dry. As a matter
of interest, the only thunderstorm predicted for
today by the Met Office was at 6am, and no more are
shown on the forecast, and it shows today as being
mainly dry. Tomorrow, according to the BBC (Meteo)
forecast, will be dry with sunny spells.
Yesterday was another quite good day. You can read all I wrote about yesterday, and some notes about this morning, in my complete archived page written today. |

09:15 BST
Yesterday was a nice day. There were sunny spells, and a few longer spells of sunshine through the day, and the temperature rose to 24° C in the afternoon. ![]() Thunderstorms were
forecast for the early hours of this morning. There
was some rain, but I heard no thunder. It should
have just finished raining as I write this, but
since sunrise it has been bright with sunny spells.
The next chance of rain is at 4pm, but it is only a
31% chance, and so will probably stay dry. It seems
like it might be another nice day. Once again,
thunderstorms are forecast for 4am tomorrow morning.
Maybe they will happen this time. The current
forecast for tomorrow shows lots of rain in the
morning. Some may be very heavy, and there could be
some thunder and lightning. From 2pm sunny spells
may return for the rest of tomorrow.
Yesterday was quite a good day. I had my first walk in the park for what seems like, and probably was, ages. I didn't have any washing cluttering up the bath, and so I could wash my hair, and have a shower. On top of everything else it was warm, but not hot, and sunny - sunny enough that I wore my Panama sun hat when I went out. My full account of yesterday, plus some notes about this morning, can be read in my complete archived page written this morning. |

08:15 BST
Most of yesterday was bright, and the afternoon featured full sunshine. The temperature still only rose to a pleasant, without being hot, 21° C. It was a dry day, and the forecast showed a 0% chance of rain all day long. ![]() Apart from a couple of
hours that may see full sunshine, today may mostly
see sunny spells. It will be warmer than yesterday
with 24° C predicted. In the small hours on tomorrow
there could be some light rain, although the
forecast does show lightning for 2 and 3am, but with
a slightly less than 50 % chance of it happening -
so it may still stay dry. Tomorrow there is an 82%
chance of rain at 6am, and so that will almost
certainly happen. At 7am there could be a
thunderstorm, but there is only a 67% of that - that
is in the may/may not sort of area. The rest of
yesterday may see sunny spells with a small chance
of light rain at almost any time.
Yesterday could be called a good day. I did three, and possibly four useful things. The key to it all was finishing the laundry soaking in a big bucket that was in the bath that was stopping me having a shower. All these things, and more are included in my complete archived page describing yesterday, and the start of this morning. |
| Monday 24th August 2026 |
|
09:53 BST
Yesterday was a bright day, although most of it only featured sunny spells. The afternoon reached 23° C, and maybe the humidity made it feel a bit warmer than it was. Once again it cooled off a lot after dark. ![]() My thermometers reckon it
is a degree or two warmer than the forecast for this
morning. It is currently quite bright out, even if
the forecast actually predicts it should be a bit
dull now. There is a fair bit of thin cloud that
could weaken any sunshine, but the forecast says
that by midday we will be back to sunny spells, and
full sunshine from 2pm. It will only raise the
temperature to 21° C, but that is a very comfortable
temperature. Tonight may not be quite as fresh as
last night, and tomorrow may start at 17° C. A
mostly dull day is forecast for tomorrow, but it
will still be dry, and the afternoon could see 22°
C.
Much of yesterday was a fairly bland day. Maybe the only time it wasn't, was in the late afternoon/early evening. All that I could describe of yesterday, plus some notes about this morning, is described in my complete archived page about yesterday, and written this morning. |
| Saturday 23rd August 2026 |
|
09:19 BST
Yesterday's weather could almost be described as bland. The morning did start with full sunshine, but from 11am there were just sunny spells until sunset. The morning sunshine took the chill off the morning, and the sunny spells raised the afternoon temperature to 21° C. During the evening the temperature dropped enough to give another very cool night. ![]() This morning was another
cold morning after a cold night. I think my
thermometers agreed it was between 11 and 12° C
at 6am. A mix of sunshine and sunny spells
(nearly all sunny spells) should warm the afternoon
up to 23° C. It is possible tonight will be less
cold than last night, but only by a degree or two.
Tomorrow will be almost the same as today, but one
small change is that the afternoon is only expected
to reach 21° C.
Yesterday was not a good day except for two occasions, and both those occasions, or waiting for them, was the reason why the rest of yesterday was not that good. There is a fuller description of yesterday, plus some notes about this morning, and it can be read in my complete archived page for yesterday. |
| Friday 22nd August 2026 |
|
08:50 BST
Yesterday mostly featured sunny spells. Light rain was forecast for 4pm for 4 hours. I think it did get quite dull then, but I don't think I remember any rain. The afternoon only reached 20° C, but it still felt OK, although it did allow the temperature to fall quite low during the night. By 1am it was down to 14° C. ![]() I think this morning could
be described as cold. The forecast predicted just
12° C at 6am, but it was closer to 14° C when I
checked at about 8am. That still seems a bit chilly
to me, and also seems rather less than I would
expect in August - one of the summer months in my
book. It is nice and sunny right now, and warming up
indoors probably faster than outside. At 11am the
full sunshine gives way to sunny spells, but the
temperature should continue to rise, and by 3pm it
should reach 21° C. After dark the temperature will
fall quite low again. Tomorrow may only see 13° C at
6am, but once again there may be full sunshine
followed by sunny spells, and tomorrow afternoon may
see 23° C.
Yesterday was only good in so much as I got my beer delivery. Apart from that it was not a very exciting day, but it did provide clues that today could be a bit more satisfying. More of my day yesterday, and some notes about this morning, can be read in my complete archived page about yesterday. |

09:25 BST
Yesterday did not start with any rain like the previous few morning. It started with sunny spells. It was at midday that it clouded over, and we had some showers. I think there were less than forecast, but there were a few time when the rain was moderately heavy. The afternoon, with the grey skies and rain still reached 21° C. ![]() This morning started
fairly cool, just 13° C, but like yesterday it was
dry with some sunny spells. The sunny spells should
continue until maybe 4pm when we might have up 4
hours of light rain, although the highest chance of
rain is just 41% at 5pm. It may stay dry all that
time on such low chances. This afternoon may reach
20° C. It looks like it could be another very cool
night. Tomorrow could start as low as 12° C, but the
cause, clear skies, will also bring full sunshine
until mid morning when it will change to sunny
spells for the rest of the day. It could reach 21° C
tomorrow afternoon.
Yesterday included some good news, but was not a very exciting day except for the late afternoon beer tasting session, but even that had it's downsides. The full description of my day yesterday, or at least any bits that are describable, can be read in my complete archived page about yesterday, and which includes notes about this morning. |

07:50 BST
Like the day before, yesterday started with a light sprinkle of rain, but there were some showers after that. There were only a few hours with sunny spells, and apart from those it was a fairly grey day. The afternoon reached 23° C, and the forecast said there would be showers then, but I am not sure that any actually fell. The last hours of daylight featured some sunny spells, but the temperature fell fairly fast to 16° C by 1am this morning. ![]() This morning started
fairly cool, just 15° C, but it was dry with some
quite long sunny spells. By midday it may cloud
over, and we could have light rain until 9pm. The
afternoon will only reach 21° C - almost cool by
recent standards. Once again it will probably be
quite a cool feeling night. 6am tomorrow could be
just 13° C. Tomorrow may be dry with sunny spells
all day, but the afternoon may only reach 20°
C.
Yesterday was not unpleasant, but it was not very exciting either. I think the dull weather, and the occasional rain dampened my enthusiasm to do much, but I did manage two things. These and other stuff about yesterday is all described in my complete archived page about yesterday, and which includes a few notes about this morning. |
| Wednesday 19th August 2026 |
|
08:22 BST
Yesterday started with a light sprinkle of rain. The rest of the day stayed dry, but it was quite dull. The afternoon reached 24° C. The grey, sometimes quite billowy clouds last all day, and into the night. That kept the temperature up to 20° C at, and well past midnight. ![]() Like yesterday, this
morning started with rain, and it seemed more than a
light sprinkle, although still far from heavy. The
forecast promises more rain through the rest of the
day. Between showers there could be some sunny
spells. This afternoon could reach 23° C, and there
is a fair chance it will be raining. 8pm, just 15
minutes before sunset, could see clear skies and
full sunshine ! Tomorrow could start at 15° C, but
with sunny spells and maybe even a period of full
sunshine. Tomorrow afternoon may only see 21° C in
the afternoon, and it may also feature light
rain.
I don't think I could say that yesterday was a particularly good day, but it was generally OK. I did a few things, and I might have done more, but the grey outside dampened my enthusiasm. Everything I can think of that I did yesterday is more fully described, along with some notes about this morning, in my complete archived page about yesterday. |
| Tuesday 18th August 2026 |
|
07:42 BST
Yesterday was mostly dull, although there were some sunny spells in the morning. The afternoon still managed to reach 25° C. As far as I am aware, not a single drop of rain fell even when the clouds looked very threatening. ![]() The forecast said there
would be some light rain this morning, and indeed
there was. It seemed like there may have been a bit
more rain before when I first saw raindrops on my
bedroom window. It has stopped now....or maybe that
might be for now because it is still very
dull outside. No further rain is shown in the
forecast until 3am tomorrow morning but the air
still smells of rain. It was not a very cool night,
and it is currently 22° C. This afternoon may
only reach 24° C, and although probably very dull,
it is still t-shirt and shorts weather. Tomorrow may
start with light showers again, and there could be
more in the early evening. Late tomorrow morning
could se a few sunny spells, and the afternoon may
see 23° C.
Yesterday was yet another day where very little happened, or perhaps that should say nothing big happened, but a few small things did happen. Everything I could thing of about yesterday is described in my complete archived page for yesterday, and which has some notes about this morning. |
| Monday 17th August 2026 |
|
08:32 BST
Yesterday was mostly a bit dull. The clouds were all sort of billowy, and it seems that sooner or later it must rain. Rain was forecast for between 11am and 1pm, but that stayed dry. I think the rain actually fell late in the evening. The first couple of seconds seemed heavy enough to be audible as it hit my top bedroom window (which hinges outwards), but it settled to just a light splattering of rain on the glass. I guess it lasted no more than 5 minutes. A few minutes later and there was no sign it had ever happened. The afternoon temperature was a very slightly cooler 25° C. It seemed to get a bit cool after midnight. ![]() Today has started at
around 19° C, and so not as fresh as would be nice.
On the other hand, the sky is almost clear blue with
just a scattering of thin wispy clouds. There may be
some sunny spells at almost random times today, but
the afternoon should still see 25° C. No rain is
shown as falling today, but a tiny chance of rain is
shown at various times - just 15% is the most likely
at 7pm. There is a small (39 to 51%) chance of rain
tomorrow morning. The whole day is predicted to be
dull, and the afternoon may only reach 24° C. It is
looking like the rest of this month may be dull and
cooler than I thought I expected for August.
Yesterday was yet another day where very little happened. Even the afternoon beer tasting didn't happen, and I only broke my teetotalling (if such a word exists) by having a single, but very large whiskey in the evening. I've noted the few things that did happen yesterday, plus some notes about this morning, in my complete archived page about yesterday. |
| Sunday 16th August 2026 |

09:33 BST
After a morning of sunny spells, yesterday turned a bit dull. The afternoon temperature still reached 26° C. It still felt rather warm, but I don't think the humidity was high enough to make it feel sticky. After sunset it seemed to cool a fair bit. ![]() Last night was a bit
cooler than the night before, but I still slept
uncovered with the fan on. This morning it is light
grey - just as the forecast predicted. It will be
interesting to see if the next bit of the forecast
is correct. From 11am until 1pm we could see the
first rain in weeks and weeks. Some sunny spells may
return at 4pm, and the temperature will peak at 25°
C. Tonight may be very slightly warmer than last
night. Tomorrow may only see a few sunny spells, and
most of the day may be a bit dull. The afternoon
temperature may peak at 25°C again. The day after
tomorrow, Tuesday, could see a bigger chance of
rain. Maybe just light rain, but there is a 50%
chance at 9am, and that means at least that hour
will probably see rain.
Yesterday was yet another day where very little happened. Unlike the day before I can't blame it on being too hot and sticky. Fortunately a few useful things did happen. My day, such as it was, is more fully described in my complete archived page for yesterday, and which includes some notes about this morning. |
| Saturday 15th August 2026 |

08:56 BST
Once again, yesterday was sunny and hot. The predicted temperature was 33° C, and once again I think that was about right...and yet, it didn't seem to feel oppressive while I was indoors. I did leave the fan on when I went to bed, and I most definitely needed it. ![]() Last night was most definitely a
"tropical night" with temperature around 22° C all
night (and it was 30° C in my bedroom all night
too). This morning it does feel a bit fresher, but
20° C is not that fresh. This morning we have some
sunny spells, but from about 11am it could turn a
bit dull. That will keep the afternoon down to a
still fairly hot 26° C. Tonight looks like it may be
cooler, and maybe the lower temperature today will
give my bedroom a chance to cool a bit as well.
Tomorrow, at 6am, it could be just 17° C. That
should feel a bit fresher, and by comparison it may
even feel cold, but it won't be really. Most of
tomorrow will be dull, and the afternoon temperature
may only reach 25° C, but there could be some sunny
spells in the afternoon (maybe from about 3pm).
Yesterday was another day where very little happened. That suited me fine. It felt hot and sticky and I didn't feel like doing much. That is not to say I did nothing. What I did do is described in my complete archived page about yesterday. It also includes the usual notes about my health and possible ideas for what I might do today. |
| Friday 14th August 2026 |

09:45 BST
Yesterday was sunny and hot. The predicted temperature was 35° C, and once again I think that was about right...and yet, it didn't seem to feel oppressive while I was indoors. I did leave the fan on when I went to bed, but I'm not sure if I really needed it. ![]() After a fairly warm
night, with the temperature possibly not dipping
below 20° C, we now face full sunshine and 33° C
this afternoon. Once again it will be a "tropical
night" with temperature still above 20° C at
daybreak tomorrow. The forecast says it will be 25°
C at midnight tonight ! The early morning tomorrow
may feature full sunshine, but most of tomorrow will
only see sunny spells. It will be a bit cooler with
tomorrow afternoon only reaching 26° C. Tomorrow's
afternoon humidity may be around 50%, and I think
that will feel less sweaty. It may be a nice day
tomorrow even if there is less sunshine. Like
yesterday, and today, tomorrow will see no rain, but
next Tuesday (18th August) may see the first rain in
weeks.
It is already late in the morning as I write this, and so I am going to try and be as brief as possible today. It is useful that only a couple of notable things happened yesterday, and I can explain those very briefly...or apparently not. The full text of all I wrote today, mostly about yesterday, can be read in my complete archived page for yesterday, and which includes several notes about this morning as well. |

08:56 BST
Yesterday was very sunny, and it did get rather hot. The afternoon temperature was forecast to reach 31° C, and once again I think that was about right. ![]() The night seemed
moderately fresh, but it was still 19° C at 7am this
morning. Another day of full, uninterrupted sunshine
should see the afternoon temperature reach 35° C. It
is looking like tonight may be quite a warm night.
Tomorrow should see full sunshine until about 5pm.
Despite that it may be a little cooler. The
afternoon temperature may only reach 32° C thanks to
a change of wind from a cooler direction (from the
north west).
Yesterday could be described as a good day, but not as far as an excellent day. There were two main things that made it good, and I am not sure which was the best. This is described, and well illustrated, in my complete archived page about yesterday, and which also includes some notes about this morning. |
| Wednesday 12th August 2026 |

10:04 BST
Yesterday was supposed to feature full sunshine all day long, and I would say that was about 90% right. I am convinced I can remember a few short periods when the sun dimmed for a short while. The afternoon temperature was forecast to be 24° C, and I think that was about right. ![]() It seemed cooler
than 18° C at 7am this morning, but I will admit I
didn't think to check my own thermometers. Today
full sunshine is forecast, and it seems it is going
to get very warm. A peak of 31° C is forecast. It
looks like it will be a warm and sticky night too.
Tomorrow should see full sunshine all day again, and
it will raise the temperature to a scorching 35° C.
After tomorrow it will cool down again. Next Monday
it might even rain !
Yesterday was another day where I was mostly resting. I had no appointments, and was not expecting any deliveries. It all meant I could put my feet up, and do nothing. Of course I did not do "nothing". What I did do is described, together with notes about this morning, in my complete archived page about yesterday. |
| Tuesday 11th August 2026 |
|
09:44 BST
Yesterday the forecast said sunny spells for most of the day with a just a couple of dull hours. I can't say I noticed the dull hours. It just seemed a pleasantly warm day with a couple of hours at 26° C in the afternoon. ![]() We are heading into
the next heatwave now. Today will feature full
sunshine all day, and the temperature should rise
to 24° C in the afternoon. Tomorrow should
also feature full sunshine, but the afternoon
temperature may hit 31° C. The day after tomorrow
(Thursday) may see 34° C, but after that the
following days may be a bit cooler.
Yesterday only featured one main thing, and even that I can probably describe in few words. Today could be a fairly brief diary entry, although I may remember other stuff that may make longer (one thing has already come to me !). Of course it has turned out longer than expected......All I wrote about yesterday, and some notes about this morning, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |

09:18 BST
Sunny spells followed by full sunshine raised the afternoon temperature to 30° C yesterday. That is not only what was forecast, but what I saw on my own thermometers. Oddly enough it didn't feel excessively hot. Later on, when the temperature was already falling, it must have been more humid because that was when I felt quite sticky. ![]() Today will be
cooler than yesterday.....or will it ? Right now it
should be dull, but it seems sunny to me, although a
cloud has passed in front of the sun making the view
to the south a tiny bit duller. If the sunny spells
do fail, they should be back at midday. The
temperature seems like it will be highest late in
the afternoon with 26° C forecast for 5 and 6pm.
Once again it will be bone dry, and we will have
another cool night. Tomorrow may have full sunshine
during daylight hours, but only 24° C is forecast.
Yesterday featured a change of plans from some plans to a single plan (or two if you include washing my hair and having a shower as one plan). The major plan was for a beer tasting session in the late afternoon, but Jodie said she had other plans - a gig ! My other plan was a visit to Tesco. That, and more about my day, is described in my complete archived page about yesterday (including some notes about this morning). |

09:27 BST
Yesterday started full sunshine, but by 10pm the full sunshine was reduced to sunny spells, The afternoon temperature reached 26° C, but maybe I have become acclimatised, and I did not feel specially hot. ![]() The forecast
says this morning only features sunny spells, but
they seem such long spells that I hardly noticed it
was not full sunshine. Today, like yesterday, will
be completely dry. This afternoon may reach 30° C !
It seems it will be a warm night too. Tomorrow may
start with full sunshine, but it will turn to sunny
spells during the morning, maybe at 10am. Tomorrow
afternoon may only reach 26° C, and that for
possibly only two hours.
Yesterday could have been a mega busy day, but it was more like a holiday ! It was all because of a fault with the railway signalling system somewhere down the line from Shortlands (maybe it said near Swanley). It made getting to see The Life Of Brian in the Bromley Churchill Gardens a bit too messy, but there were other reasons too. My resulting day is more fully described in my complete archived page for today (which includes notes about this morning). |

Yesterday featured full sunshine all day, at least that is what the forecast said. I'm not sure I remember it quite like that. The afternoon temperature reached 25° C, and that felt nice. ![]() has started with full sunshine,
but from 10am until sunset there may only be sunny
spells. The afternoon temperature may rise to
26° C after a fairly chilly start. Update !
The latest version of the forecast has changed many
of the sunny spells to full sunshine, but the
afternoon temperature remains the same. Tomorrow may
see a mix of sunny spells and full sunshine. The
afternoon temperature could reach 30° C.
Yesterday morning I felt rotten. Sometimes it seemed a bit like a hangover, and sometimes something else. The more significant thing was some odd feelings from my heart. There is more about this, other stuff, and a bunch of my photos, and all can be seen in my complete archived page for today. |

Yesterday started with a few hours of full sunshine, but much of the day only featured sunny spells. The afternoon temperature only reached 22° C, but that was rather nice. ![]() Today features full
sunshine from dawn to dusk, and that should raise
the temperature to 25° C, but not until 5pm. The
night is going to be another chilly night. Tomorrow
may start at just 15° C, but a lot of full sunshine,
with a few hours of just sunny spells, should raise
the afternoon temperature to 26° C. Sunday may see
the return of 30° C !
I feel rotten this morning. Some of it seemed like it was going to be a stomach upset, but that quickly resolved itself with a visit to the toilet. The rest is like I have a hangover, and that would be fine if only I had drunk any booze yesterday, but I didn't touch a drop. I reckon it is probably the latest media darling, Ebola. All I had to say about yesterday can be read in my complete archived page for today. |

Yesterday almost featured rain at around 9am. The forecast said there was a 39% chance of rain, and the clouds did seem very thick around then, but no rain fell (that I was aware of). Later on there were sunny spells, and from about mid afternoon we had some full sunshine. The temperature only reached 24° C, but that still felt very comfortable. ![]() The temperature fell a lot
during last night and the early hours of this
morning. The temperature has now risen to 18° C, and
it is feeling reasonable again. When I first got out
of bed, wearing very little, and with the window
open all night, it felt damn chilly - just 14° C !
There is full sunshine at the moment, but will give
way to mostly sunny spells soon. The afternoon may
only reach 22° C. It will be another very
fresh night, but tomorrow may see a bit more
sunshine than today. Tomorrow's afternoon peak may
still only be 24° C. From Saturday we may see the
temperature rising again, and by Sunday we may
sizzle at 30° C again.
Yesterday was a sort of busy day - busy enough that I had little time for any decent resting/snoozing, and no time to start re-writing yesterday's diary which I accidently deleted when I had to do a reboot after a new Linux kernel was installed on my PC. I've uploaded a sort of place holder saying that I never managed to write anything yesterday, but today I have written the usual load of old rubbish (!) and that can be read right here. |

Yesterday, after non stop sunshine, reached 31° C, and possibly 32° C for a single hour. It was hot, but I stayed out of the sun, and it did not feel too bad.The temperature stayed at 20° C during the night. ![]() This morning will see non
stop sunshine until midday, and then a few hours of
sunny spells before the full sunshine returns until
the sun set. It may only take the temperature up to
a maximum of 27° C. From about midnight it will get
a bit cloudy, and tomorrow will only see sunny
spells until 4pm when we may see the return of non
stop sunshine until sunset. Today and tomorrow will
be completely dry, although at 3pm today the chance
of rain will rise from zero to a completely
ignorable 6% !
Yesterday was one of those days where I could be as busy as I wanted to be, and although I wasn't always busy, I seemed to find little time to rest. My scales say I must have spent the day eating, while memory is that I spent a lot of the day photo editing. My more complete description of my day, with some photos, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |

Yesterday started with full sunshine, but by about 1pm it was reduced to sunny spells. The afternoon reached 26° C, and that was warm enough for a bit of a damp brow. It cooled a lot after dark. ![]() Today we return to
heatwave territory. The forecast promises full
sunshine all day long, and the afternoon may reach
as high as 32° C for a single hour at 5pm. Not a
single drop of rain is forecast. Tomorrow could be
very sunny, but the afternoon may only see sunny
spells. The afternoon temperature will be several
degrees lower than today with just 26° C forecast,
although it is still quite hot enough for some.
Yesterday was a fairly calm sort of day, although I was still busy enough to not really allow any time for some decent relaxation and snoozing. My day is more fully described, and illustrated with some pictures, and it can all be seen in my complete archived page for today. |

Yesterday started with full sunshine, but by about 3pm it was reduced to sunny spells. The afternoon reached 25° C, and that was warm enough for a bit of a damp brow, but my new straw Panama hat seemed to keep my head fairly cool/ ![]() Today is going to be very
similar to yesterday. Strong sunshine in the
morning, but the afternoon may only see sunny
spells. The last hours of daylight may feature clear
skies and full sunshine again. The clear skies will
give another fresh feeling night, and after 26° C in
the afternoon, that may feel nice. Tomorrow may
start at 17° C at 6am, but full sunshine will warm
things up quite quickly, and the full sunshine
should last until 3pm. By then the temperature may
reach a sizzling 30° C. Once the sun sets it wont
cool down that much, and tomorrow night, and the
early hours of the next day may still be a sticky
20° C
Yesterday was dominated by Petts Wood calling. I got there before the first band were on stage, and before the Mayor of Bromley had got up on stage to start the proceedings. I have written a bit more than that, but I have not had time to select a single picture from yesterday to add to my complete archived page for today, but there are some notes about this morning. |

Yesterday was quite a sunny day, better than recent days, but the afternoon only reached 24° C. It felt comfortably warm, and not too sweaty. ![]() Today has started out
feeling slightly chilly, but the sky is mostly
clear, and the sun is shining. It may continue to
shine until 3pm when we may only get sunny spells.
This afternoon may only see 25° C, but that is
pleasantly warm. It looks like tonight will be
another cold night with the temperature dropping to
16° C by 4am, but that may be the lowest it goes.
Tomorrow is predicted to be similar to today - full
sunshine until mid morning, and then a mix of full
sunshine and mainly sunny spells. The afternoon may
be a little warmer than today, peaking at 26° C.
Yesterday was another day where not a lot happened. Stuff might have happened, although I am not sure what, if I hadn't been waiting in for a parcel delivery from Amazon. My day is more fully described in my complete archived page for today. |
