Yesterday may have started wet, but it dried up, and we even had some sunshine in the afternoon. The afternoon temperature reached 15° C, but I don't think that coincided with the best of the sunshine. At 4pm the temperature dropped to 14° C, and stayed there for most of the night.

The forecast says this morning has started at 14° C, but my thermometers say it is currently 13° C. This is probably because the sky is clear enough to allow some nice morning sunshine through. It is currently dry, and it doesn't look like there will be any rain in the immediate future. Very little sunshine is shown in the forecast, and I suppose we need to enjoy the bit we have now. 1pm is shown as having sunny spells, and is when the temperature may briefly peak at 16° C. By the end of the afternoon the temperature may drop to 13° C, and it will soon start to rain. The weather warning is for heavy rain from 10pm tonight. It will continue through all of tomorrow, and the day after will still see the tail of it, but that may be just light rain or drizzle.

Yesterday was disappointing. Although I had only lost a couple of hours of sleep the night before (as described yesterday), I seemed to feel so tired. I could not find the enthusiasm for a few things I thought I would do. On the other hand, if my intention had been to be very lazy, it was a very rewarding day.

I had a bit of a lie in yesterday, but not as much as I must have needed. It felt like everything was in slow motion, and I started writing slowly later than is ideal. By the time I had finished writing it seemed to be getting close to lunch time. It wasn't, but it was just another way that things seemed to be going so slowly. Although I have had showers later in the day, it somehow felt too late to shower, and I stayed unwashed all day.

It was also too late to go to the pub at my usual time, and being unwashed I didn't fancy going anyway. It was not long before I had quite a light lunch. I can't seem to remember what I had for lunch, but I think I remember the intention to have a very light lunch, something more like a snack, and that is what I did. I now remember that one bit of lunch was a single flapjack bar. The other bit may have been a couple of small packets of baked potato waffle crisps.

I then spent much of the afternoon laying on my bed reading and snoozing. It was not a very productive day, although I guess I did read many pages from my book - an extremely thick paperback that is really uncomfortable to hold when reading in bed. I must admit that I enjoyed this intensive laziness except for one thing. To stay warm while being very inactive I adjust the thermostat on my fan heater so it was running almost non stop for hour and hours on end. It was only on 1kw (= "one bar"), but it was still an extra expense.

I can't think of anything else I did during the afternoon, except for one important thing, and that thing was getting myself in the right frame of mind to have a healthy dinner. When 6pm approached I prepared my dinner. It ended up as 4 small apples, and two mini "easy peeler" oranges with a small chunk of cheese to take the acid edge off the apples. That dinner did make my morning (this morning) health readings a bit better, but not by much.

After watching the news I watched my usual evening TV programmes. By 10pm, and watching Have I Got News For You, I was feeling very tired, and I was glad it ended so I could go to bed. From then on things got very vague. I remember getting into bed, and I think I might have started to think that I was not going to be able to get to sleep, but I was fast asleep before I could finish the thought.

I think I woke up maybe a couple of times to pee, but most of my night is like a blank place. The only bit of dream I half remember was about a table top meat smoker I think I had made. Actually I am not sure it was a meat smoker, or some sort of miniature upright grill. It was based on an Argentinian way of cooking meat for a feast, The prepared carcasses are spiked and placed around a raging bonfire. I can't remember if I ever used my device in the dream, or just looked at it when cold.

On many mornings I wake at 5am, although it is now incredibly rare to actually get up at that time, and I will usually go back to bed after a pee. This morning it was almost 7am when I woke up, and I felt better for it. I went for my usual morning pee, and this morning I also passed a poo. I was expecting it to be very big, but maybe soft because of all the fibre from the fruit I ate last night. It was certainly easy to pass, but unless there was something bigger that had gone around the U-Bend, all I saw was a tiny little poo.

The most annoying thing is that instead of losing some weight, I had put on 200gm. I have to admit I have doubts when saying that. Before I had breakfast I went to the toilet again, and passed some more pee. I know that reduced my weight, but what I can't remember is if I remembered to edit my spreadsheet to show the extra drop in weight.

On the other hand, my blood glucose readings were quite reasonable this morning. In fact the average of all three readings was the second lowest this month - although not as good as most of October. The Contour meter read 7.0mmol/l. and that is good. The GlucoRX meter read 6.7mmol/l, and that is very good. The GlucoFix meter read 7.3mmol/l, and was the worst, but still a good reading.

Two things should happen today. The first should be a shopping trip to Aldi (but it could be Tesco). The second should be a Thursday afternoon beer tastings session with Jodie, and probably Michael. He is going through another very negative time at the moment, and hopefully another chance to have some beer, and get some thoughts off his chest will cheer him up a bit. I expect we will be joined by Fluffy Cat, although I haven't seen him recently. I did hear someone call out "dinner" from some houses away, and I suspect it was his real owners. I just hope the silly thing has not taken a chance too far, and fallen off a house roof.....although cats are apparently OK with falls from even higher places because of the way their skeleton works.
