My
Electronic Diary For June 2025 |
Monday 30th June 2025 |
07:35 BST
It was a few hours after the
forecast said there would be sunny spells before there
were sunny spells yesterday. On the other hand we may
have got full sunshine a but earlier than the forecast
1pm. From then on it was full strength sunshine until
the sun set. The forecast said it would reach 29° C,
and it certainly was hot, but I can't remember seeing
any more than 28° C on my thermometers.
It was a warm night, although after the daytime,
the night breezes felt nice and fresh. At the moment the
sky is clear, and the sun is burning down. It should be
like this all day, and that means the temperature may
reach a beautiful 32° C today. Tomorrow may be almost
the same as today, but after another warm night the
temperature may rise to 33° C. On Wednesday rain is
forecast !![]() Yesterday was another day when I seemed to be, or maybe circumstances forced me, to be very lazy. I did try to the otherwise, but that came to little. Oh well, at least I got my two deliveries in safely, and I don't have to worry about any deliveries until tomorrow now. My day and my night, including some of a long dream, and this morning, are all described in my complete archived page for today. |
Sunday 29th June 2025 |
07:49 BST
The whole morning was dull
yesterday, but I think the sun broke through very soon
after midday, and earlier than forecast. The afternoon
saw mostly just sunny spells, but there was some pure
sunshine in the last few hours of daylight. It warmed
up to around 28° C, and only slowly fell away through
the evening and night.
It it rather dull, so far this morning, but the
temperature is still around 22° C. The sun should break
through sooner or later, and this afternoon should (or
could) see non stop sunshine until sunset. That could
take the afternoon temperature up to 29° C.
Tomorrow may see full sunshine from dawn to dusk, and
the temperature may reach 32° C. The day after could be
the same, but Wednesday may see some rain.![]() Yesterday was another not very productive day, and some of that was Evri's fault, but more about that later. I can't seem to remember why I ended up having a very lazy day. All I do know is that I did manage to do one important thing, and also some photo editing. Maybe my day was more complex than I thought, but all the relevant bits are described, along with notes about last night and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Saturday 28th June 2025 |
08:02 BST
Yesterday started bright,
but turned dull for a few hours around midday. A few
hours later the cloud broke up and we had some sunny
spells, and they were followed by mostly clear skies
and full sunshine. The forecast predicted 26° C, but I
think even the BBC admitted, on the 6 O'clock news
that the temperature hit 28° C
It was a very mild night, and it seemed
comfortable to open my bedroom window once I was out of
bed. My thermometer said 22° C. The trouble that this
morning was forecast, and is very dull. It might be 2pm
before we see any sunshine. By 6pm the temperature may
reach 28° C. It looks like it will be another very mild
night, and tomorrow is forecast to start at 18° C at
6am. Tomorrow may feature full sunshine all day long,
and the temperature should reach at least 30° C. Monday
could see 32° C !![]() I don't know exactly why, although I will make some suggestions further down the page, but yesterday was a day where I didn't seem to achieve much. Maybe I didn't need to achieve much because it was pleasantly relaxing, and there were some good bits of the day to make it seem nicer. All I can remember I did during the day, some memories of my sleep, and notes about this morning, can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Friday 27th June 2025 |
08:37 BST
Yesterday started with sunny
spells when it was supposed to dull. Rain was forecast
at 10am, or 11am, or midday. I think it was near 11am
when we had one fairly light shower. Soon after that
we returned to sunny spells, and they changed to full
sunshine later in the afternoon. The forecast said a
brief high of 25° C, but I think the extra sunshine
pushed it to 27° C
I think it was around 8am when I opened the
curtains to see outside, and I don't think there was
full sunshine then - more like an extended sunny spell.
The sun is shining as I write this, but some of the sky
is cloudy, and the sunshine may turn to sunny spells for
a while - which is exactly what the forecast says for
9am (which it is as I write this). There could be a
couple of dull hours from midday, but sunny spells will
be back later, and full sunshine by the end of the
afternoon. 26° C is forecast for today. Much of tomorrow
will be dull, but there may be some sunny spells, and
the last couple of hours of daylight may feature full
sunshine. By then the temperature will have peaked at
28° C, will be on it's way down again.![]() For reasons that I might try to think up more fully later, yesterday was a day when not a lot happened. The odd thing is that when I look back, the day seemed to flash by, but that is an illusion. I am sure I remember times when it seemed like time was only trickling by. I seemed to have typed 1,902 words to describe my day, night, and the start of this morning, and you can read them all in my complete archived page for today. |
Thursday 26th June 2025 |
09:09 BST
Once again yesterday started
off dull rather than the forecast sunny spells. The
sun did break through around 11am, and by 1pm it had
changed to full sunshine. The mid afternoon
temperature reached 27° C, but although a little
sweaty when walking, it did not feel particularly hot
to me (although I know some who complained about it).
This morning the forecast said the day would
start dull, but as far as I am aware, it started with
sunny spells, and those sunny spells continue even now
(09:30), but it is getting very cloudy. Maybe it will
start to rain at 10pm, and continue until midday. After
another dull three hours we may get some sunny spells
followed by full sunshine until the end of the day. It
will be a bit cooler than yesterday, but 25° C is
acceptable. A lot of tomorrow should see full sunshine,
although much of the afternoon may only see sunny
spells. Once again it should reach 25° C.![]() Yesterday, except for one annoyance, was a very good day. It was good-ish news from the doctor, and my lunchtime session in The Jolly Farmers turned into a full, but not over the top, drinking session. The annoyance happened soon after I got home, and that will be explained later. I seem to have written over 3000 words today to describe yesterday, last night, and this morning, and all of them can be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Wednesday 25th June 2025 |
07:56 BST
Yesterday started off cool,
just 15° C, and it was rather dull. The forecasts said
it would remain dull until early evening/late
afternoon, but I remember sunny spells long before
that. That made the peak temperature higher than
forecast, and I think the temperature reached 27° C.
It's another very dull start, but it is a less
cold start than yesterday. My thermometers say it is 19°
C as I write this, Sunny spells are forecast, and
hopefully they will start in the next few hours. From
2pm we may get full sunshine until sunset. The
afternoon should reach 27° C, and stay that warm for 4
hours....maybe. From midnight there could be rain,
but tomorrow may start dry, although there is a fair
chance of rain at any time tomorrow. There may be some,
but not many sunny spells, and the temperature may be a
disappointing 24° C.![]() Today is the day I see the doctor at 9:30 this morning. It means I will have to stop writing soon, and then pick up where I left off when I get back - hopefully after collecting my next repeat prescription after seeing the doctor. Yesterday was a semi good day, but I had hoped it might be better. Time has been in short supply this morning, but I have described much of my day, and this morning in my complete archived page for today. |
Tuesday 24th June 2025 |
07:57 BST
Yesterday's weather was very
bland: It wasn't hot and it wasn't cold. It wasn't
wet, and it was not very sunny, although there were
many sunny spells. The temperature was forecast to
peak at 23° C, and I think that was correct.
Instead of today starting with sunny spells, it
started rather dull, and there has been some rain, as
evidenced by the ground being wet. Although a few months
ago it would be considered mild, or even warm, at this
time of the year 17° C (as I write this) feels chilly.
It looks like it is going to be a very miserable day.
There may be no sign of the sun until 5pm, and I have my
doubts about that. With luck it should stay dry for the
rest of the day. After this chilly start the temperature
may reach 25° C by 6pm...maybe. The latest revision to
the forecast does now show rain for 9am. Tomorrow may be
a far better day. There could be sunny spells all day
long, and after another cool (17° C) start the
temperature may quickly rise to 27° C.![]() I think yesterday could be described as a good day despite a few negative aspects. It was a day when I got some exercise, washed some clothes, and finally took delivery of my first order from Aliexpress - the protective cover for my Honor 200 Smart. My day is described with some photos, plus my night and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Monday 23rd June 2025 |
07:06 BST
Like many recent forecasts,
yesterday's weather forecast was not terribly
accurate. Instead of starting with blazing sunshine
there was a couple of dull hours before the sun came
out. Sometime after midday the predicted full sunshine
turned out to be the start of several hours of some
very dark clouds in the sky, and it really looked like
it would rain. It didn't and a bit later the sun broke
through again. A maximum of 26° C was forecast, and I
think that was correct.
This morning's weather forecast is looking like
it may turn out about right, although it doesn't include
any rain (although there was a reported chance of 10%
for 6am), but my weather stations are convinced there
will be rain today. Until late afternoon there may only
be sunny spells, but there could be some full sunshine
after that until sunset. The maximum temperature today
could be 23° C, and that only for a single hour. One
other thing about today's weather is that there is a
lively breeze, and at the moment it feels quite chilly.
Tomorrow may reach 24° C, but it is currently forecast
to be a very dull day with only a few sunny spells in
the early morning, and from mid evening.![]() If my weight and blood glucose level are anything to go by, then my birthday celebrations yesterday must have been really good. They were better than some previous years, but nothing exciting, and I can only describe yesterday as a fairly pleasant sort of day. My day, my celebrations (if you can call it that) plus my night and this morning, are all described, with a few pictures, in my complete archived page for today. |
Sunday 22nd June 2025 |
06:37 BST
Yesterday was not the "hot
sunshine all day", day that the weather forecast said
it would be. For quite a long time there were not even
any sunny spells, and it was rather grey outside. The
BBC said no rain at all until 1am this morning (when I
don't think it did rain). The Met Office predicted
rain late morning/early afternoon, and we did have a
shower. There was another light shower at 9pm. The sun
did come back out around mid afternoon. It was
certainly rather sweaty, but I don't think I saw any
of my thermometers display the forecast 33° C. I am
not 100% sure, but I think the temperature may only
have touched just over 30° C for an hour or two.
To the north and to the west the sky looks very
clear, but to the east where the sun is supposed to be
blasting out, it is cloudy, and it looks a bit dull
outside. If that cloud clears we will have the promised
sunshine. It is a little warmer than forecast. My
thermometers agree that it is currently 20° C instead of
the forecast 18° C. The (BBC) forecast (above) says zero
chance of any rain today, but my cheap and cheerful
weather station says to expect rain - and it was right
yesterday ! Today's high may be just 26° C. Tomorrow may
start with a short burst of light rain, but most of the
day will be dry and sunny. It should feel fresher with a
high of just 23° C.![]() Today is my birthday, my 70th birthday to be precise. It is an odd sort of idea. It mostly does not feel special, although, on the other hand, it does feel like I am not as decrepit as I assume a 70 year old should be. Maybe it is outdated ideas from when I was 30 years younger, but I choose to believe there are no more than 50% of us, maybe even 70% of us who can walk a mile and half or more. Yesterday was not a good day. The grey skies for almost the first half of the day were not very inspiring, and the effect was multiplied by the forecast saying we should have had dawn to dusk hot sunshine. I still managed a few intended things, but much of the day could have been boring. I did not do a lot yesterday, but I did a few things and these are described, along with my night, and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Saturday 21st June 2025 |
08:51 BST
Yesterday was definitely hot
but not very sunny. For much of the day the sky was a
milky white colour, and that cloud was just a little
too thick to let any bright sunshine through, although
it was still a bright day. The temperature only
reached 27° C, but it often felt hotter than the day
before.
Today may be very hot. The BBC forecast 33° C,
but the Met Office say only 31° C, and they also predict
the chance of a shower or two around midday. They have
certainly got it almost right when they say only sunny
spells this morning. As I type this it is actually a bit
dull outside, and I am not sure we have even had a sunny
spell yet. I have a feeling that in terms of actual
sunshine, today could be disappointing. It seems certain
that it will get hot today, but it may be an unpleasant
muggy heat instead of blistering hot sunshine. Tomorrow
could start off bright, but much of the day may only see
sunny spells, and the temperature may only rise to 26°
C.![]() Yesterday was a not very good day, but neither was it a bad day. The early weather forecast promised so much, but with that thin covering of white cloud it was not very exciting. I managed to do a few useful things, and a few things that make me wonder if they were a good idea. There is not a lot to say about yesterday, but I seem to have used many words. Those words, plus more about my night and this morning, can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Friday 20th June 2025 |
08:32 BST
Yesterday was hot and sunny.
The temperature reached the forecast 30° C on a day
where the sun was shining at full strength from dawn
to dusk.
Today may be a little cooler than yesterday. The
whole day, except for just 1pm will feature full
sunshine, but the temperature may only reach 27° C.
Tomorrow will also feature one hour of just sunny spells
at 3pm, but the rest of the day will feature full
sunshine. However there are some very small chances of
rain at 8 and 9am, 10% chance, 8% from 9pm, and 15% at
midnight. A short and light sprinkle of rain could be
briefly refreshing on a day expected to hit 31° C.![]() Yesterday was a rather good day, and in some ways it was because less happened instead of more. That will be explained later in my writing. It certainly was a warm day - too warm for Jodie to come out (possibly with a hangover), and warm enough for me to start using one of my desk fans to cool me off a bit. My day, night, and this morning, is all described in my complete archived page for today. |
Thursday 19th June 2025 |
07:44 BST
Yesterday was very warm and
mostly very sunny. sunny. The afternoon easily reached
27° C. It did not drop much during the evening.
A 19° C sunny start, and then non stop sunshine
means that today should see at least 30° C this
afternoon. The met Office predicts 31° C. It will be
another warm night, but tomorrow, while also seeing
sunshine from dawn to dusk, may be a little bit cooler -
possibly as low as 28° C.![]() Yesterday was another day when I just had to do some walking - extra walking over what it would need to walk from home direct to The Jolly Farmers and back again. It was mostly good, but there were some unexpected problems that spoiled it a bit. The describable bits of my day are described, with added pictures, together with my sweaty night, and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Wednesday 18th June 2025 |
07:37 BST
Yesterday was warm and but
not always sunny. It was probably around 11:30am when
I went for a walk, and there was very little bright
sunshine for a while. The afternoon easily reached 26°
C, and it seemed to be a warm night.
This morning has started bright and sunny as per
the forecast, but we may only get sunny spells for a few
hours at the start of the afternoon - however the latest
revision now says it will be full sunshine all day long.
This will be like yesterday if it happens. The
temperature should peak 27° C, and possibly higher. It
should be a fairly warm night, and tomorrow could start
at 18° C. Another day of full sunshine is forecast for
tomorrow, and the temperature could rise to 28° C or
higher.![]() Yesterday was quite a good day. The day started with reasonably low blood glucose, and some weight loss. These were trends I managed to keep up during the day. Of course there were some negative things, but overall it was a very pleasing sort of day. It is all described, with a few pictures, and notes about my sleep and dreams, and notes about this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Tuesday 17th June 2025 |
08:25 BST
Yesterday was warm and sunny
after a quite dull morning. It was probably 11am when
the clouds really started to break up, but still only
enough for mostly sunny spells. The forecast said the
afternoon temperature should be 26° C, and that seems
about right.
This morning did start bright and sunny
as per the forecast. This may mean it is snowing by
midday, but maybe the forecast will turn out to be
correct and we will have undiluted sunshine until
sunset. The temperature will only go as high as
yesterday at 26° C, but we may see much higher by
Sunday. Tomorrow is currently forecast to be almost as
sunny, and the temperature may reach 27° C.![]() Yesterday was a day when I really should have done a lot more, including some sort of walking exercise. For some reason I just could not raise the enthusiasm for that. I did very little, and yet the day seemed to pass very smoothly. The best thing is that I seemed to achieve lower blood glucose this morning. I seemed to have used 1,633 words to describe yesterday, last night, and this morning, and you can read them all in my complete archived page for today. |
Monday 16th June 2025 |
08:47 BST
Yesterday was less sunny
than forecast, but it was still a fairly nice day.
Despite the forecast saying the temperature would only
reach 23° C it may have gone a little higher, but it
seemed breezy enough to actually feel cooler instead
of warmer.
What I am seeing out of my front window is very
different to what I am seeing on the forecast. That says
full sunshine, but outside my bedroom window I can see a
mass of very dark cloud, and not even a hint that the
sun is still alight. On the other hand, there are some
blue areas if I look to the west (where the sun isn't).
Perhaps that sinister area of cloud will eventually pass
over, and we'll get the sunny spells the forecast
promises. The temperature outside is about 20° C, and by
4pm it may reach a fairly warm 26° C. Tomorrow may
be very sunny all day long (but that is what they said
about the start of this morning, and they were wrong).
Once again the afternoon temperature should reach 26° C.![]() Yesterday was not as good as hoped for, and in some ways it was a bad day despite beer being involved - that was the cause of some of the bad, but at the same time it was also responsible for some of the good. Of course all these things will be better explained in my full text, which together with my notes about last night and this morning, can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Sunday 15th June 2025 |
08:19 BST
Yesterday was another
bright, sunny and quite warm day, although maybe not
quite as warm as the day before, however... The
forecast only predicted 23° C, but I am sure I saw my
outside thermometers reading 25° C. It was a
perfectly dry day despite the weather warnings saying
there could be thunderstorms somewhere in Britain.
Once upon a time, like the day before yesterday,
the forecast included some heavy showers for today, but
the latest forecast (above) shows it to be a dry day,
and a lot of it may be sunny. The flaw in this idea is
that this morning, instead of blue skies and full
sunshine, it is cloudy, and the sun has yet to
breakthrough the clouds, although it is not very dull.
The Met Office forecast shows sunny spells all morning
and afternoon (but full sunshine at 8pm). I think this
means it might rain today ! The BBC (above) predicts a
high of 23° C, and the Met Office say 24° C. Tomorrow
may be generally sunny with a high of 25° C.![]() I had plans and ideas for yesterday, and in the extreme some were rather elaborate. I didn't do those, but I did do the simple version of the plan, and it seemed to be not too bad at all. It was a modestly long walk, and I hadn't walked that far since April of last year. My day is described, with some pictures taken on my walk, together with notes about my night, and also this morning, and it can all be seen and read in my complete archived page for today. |

09:05 BST
The forecast said yesterday
should start with strong sunshine, but the sky was
still cloudy until almost midday, although there were
some sunny spells before that. The forecast said it
would rain at 1pm (or 2pm according to the Met
Office). There was no rain, and from about 1pm it was
like a warm and sunny summers day. The temperature
reached 25° C for several hours. The night was warm
and dry.
It is certainly bright and sunny this morning,
and at about 22° C now (09:42am) is it certainly warm.
If the forecast for today is roughly right, the sunshine
should continue until early afternoon, when there may be
just a couple of hours of sunny spells. Then it will be
back to full sunshine until it comes to a rapid halt as
the sky clouds over, and rain falls. It is not shown on
the screenshot above, but the weather warning suggests
the possibility of thunderstorms tonight, but perhaps
only nearby and not here. Those thunderstorms would be
energised by the afternoon heat. It could reach 28°
C. Tomorrow will probably be a little bit cooler.
Just 22° C is forecast because there will be little full
sunshine, but there could be sunny spells almost all
day.![]() Yesterday seemed like a mostly good, but maybe not great day. Obviously the sunny weather, once it got started, a lot later than predicted, helped a lot. Finally, having not one, but two poos after being constipated was good news. In some ways it was even better news in the late evening...sort of, or not ! My day is described in a little more detail, along with my night, and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Thursday 12th June 2025 |
08:52 BST
Yesterday morning started
off quite dull, as per the Met Office forecast, and
completely unlike the BBC weather forecast. It took
until midday before it started to brighten up, but
from about 1pm it was a nice, bright, and sunny
afternoon. It was quite warm too, around 23° C, but
forecast high humidity, which I didn't really notice,
may have made it feel warmer.
There is some sunshine this morning, but much of
the sky looks more white than blue, and the sunshine is
quite intermittent. Maybe the sky will clear to give the
full sunshine forecast, but maybe only until 1pm when
rain is forecast. It is now only shown as light rain,
but I am sure that yesterday it was predicted it might
be heavier - Possibly with one of the BBC's speciality -
thunderstorms that never seem to happen. The temperature
may briefly touch 24° C today, but perhaps only at
4pm. Tomorrow may see 26° C, and there may be
sunny spells or full sunshine all day long. There could
be some rain in the evening tomorrow.![]() Yesterday was a far better day than any recently. For one thing the weather was a lot better, but also because I had some useful achievements, and made new discoveries.....well, sort of. The only negative thing was that I failed to achieve what I hoped for. My day is described, and it was happier than I described it, plus notes about my night, and also the start of this morning, and it can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Wednesday 11th June 2025 |
08:26 BST
Yesterday morning was very
dull, and the first half of the afternoon was merely
dull. After that we did get some sunny spells, and it
seemed quite nice after a completely ruined morning.
The afternoon temperature reached 21° C.
This morning was supposed to be sunny, but it is
actually like the Met Office forecast - very dull until
almost mid morning. Both forecasters agree that from
late morning the sun will break through. At first it may
be just sunny spells, but from 4pm there may be full
sunshine. It should raise the temperature up to 23° C.
The TV weather forecast last night did mention today may
feel very humid. Tomorrow should be nice and bright, and
there could be quite a few hours of full sunshine. 1pm
could be an exception when rain is predicted. The
temperature could reach 24° C![]() Yesterday did not get off to a good start, and the dull grey light left me feeling depressed, although maybe not "depressed" in a real clinical way, but who knows ? I did my best to ignore it, and nearly went out for a walk, and of course that was the exact time it started to rain - when the forecast said it wouldn't. My day, such as it was, plus my night and this morning, is all described in my complete archived page for today. |
Tuesday 10th June 2025 |
09:10 BST
There were a few isolated
times when the sun managed to shine a few rays down,
but yesterday was mostly bright grey. It was dry and
fairly mild with an afternoon temperature of 19° C.
There is a 14 to 20% chance of a shower between
11am and 1pm, but the rest of today should be dry even
if the grey sky makes it look like it is about to rain.
Strangely, it is at 11am, when there is a 14% chance of
rain, when it seems it may brighten up from dark grey to
mid, or perhaps even light grey. It is even possible
there could be some sunny spells this evening, but right
now it looks awful outside. It is possible the afternoon
should see 21° C. Update: 11am now shown as dark
grey, and 6pm may see 22° C. Tomorrow is now looking
like it could be very nice. Lots of sunny spells, and
from 4pm there could be non stop strong sunshine. 23° C
is currently expected.![]() Yesterday started with fill vim and vigour, or almost that, but it seemed to burn out by the afternoon. The rest of the day was a bit boring, and rather depressing. I blame it on the weather, but it could also be some underlying medical problem. Time will tell. Any bits of my day worth recording, plus some notes about my night, and of the start of this morning, can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Monday 9th June 2025 |
08:58 BST
Yesterday's weather was
rather bland. There was some hazy sunshine for the
first few hours. Maybe an hour of stronger sunshine,
but then it started to cloud over. The afternoon was
usually bright-ish, but with no sunshine. The
temperature was neither hot or cold. By 3pm it reached
17° C, and stayed there for maybe 5 hours before
slowly falling again.
So far this morning it has seemed bright, but not
a single ray of sunshine has broken through the cloud -
yet. It seems that most of today could be bright, bit
with no actual sunshine until, maybe, after 7pm. It
should be a bit warmer today with 19° C predicted.
Tomorrow could be another day with almost no sunshine,
and 7 and 8am could be really dull. The possible good
thing is that the afternoon may see 21° C. ![]() Yesterday was a fair day. I managed to do a few useful things, and had a boozy afternoon. I almost managed to control my eating after getting drunk, and that could have been a miracle if I had managed to control it a bit better. There was even good news about my new phone ! My day, and evening, plus my night, and the start of this morning, is all described as best I can, in my complete archived page for today. |
Sunday 8th June 2025 |
08:29 BST
Much rain was forecast for
yesterday, and almost no sign of the sun. Back in the
real world there was a bit of rain around 6am, but
after that there was no rain until maybe 3 or 4pm.
Some of that rain was heavy for a while. There were
also thunderstorms predicted. That was when we had
some nice sunshine/sunny spells ! The forecast high
was only16° C, but I think that un-forecast sunshine
may have added a degree or two.
There should be full sunshine now, but while the
sun is shining, and has been for some time now, it seems
weak and hazy, but maybe it is getting stronger. The sky
will cloud over from 11am, and then it may be dull until
6pm when sunny spells may resume. No rain is forecast
for today, but the forecast does give a 25% chance of
rain at 5pm, and a lesser percentage for the following
few hours. This afternoon should see 17° C.
Tomorrow should see a bit more improvement, and the
build up to weather more suited to summer. Once again
the middle of the day will be dull, but there may be
sunny spells before and after. It should be dry, and the
temperature should reach 19° C.![]() Yesterday was one of those days that was a mix of good, bad and indifferent. It was another day when I got some good enough exercise, although it was not as beneficial as it could have been, and may have even had some negative effects, but it did reveal some positives as well. My day is described more fully, and with some photos, plus there are notes about my night, and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |

Once again the forecast said
rain, and it did indeed rain yesterday, but there
seemed to be a lot less than forecast. I think we
started to get sunny spells as early as 11am, and from
then on it seemed like an almost sunny day. It was
even a little bit warmer than the previous couple of
days. The afternoon temperature reached 18° C.
There had been some rain when I opened the
curtains this morning, and I have to admit the sky looks
like there could be another shower soon, but at the
moment it seems dry outside. The Met Office forecast for
today is different to the BBC forecast (above). The
significant thing is that it shows no thunderstorms, but
it does show the first rain falling at 1pm, and after
2pm it could get quite heavy at times. By 3pm the sky
may get lighter, but there will still be heavy rain. It
forecasts the rain will stop an hour earlier than the
BBC at 9pm. Both forecasters agree the maximum
temperature today will be just 16° C. Tomorrow could see
17° C. It should start bright and sunny, but the
afternoon will be dull until there are sunny spells in
the evening. After tomorrow the weather should get
warmer and sunnier for a week or more.![]() I find I don't have a lot of good things to say about yesterday. I had quite a few disappointments. A lot of the day was the boring waiting game - waiting for an Amazon delivery. It should have brought a lot of joy, but it actually brought frustration. My day, including the good bits, and the frustrating bits, plus notes about my night, and this morning, can all be read about in my complete archived page for today. |

The forecast predicted
rain for every hour (except midnight) yesterday, but
the reality was that instead of what could have been
constant light rain we had a few times when it really
came down, and then an hour or two before the next
rain. Sometimes it even brightened up (although the
sun only broke through a few very brief times). It was
a rather cool day with only 16° C forecast, but maybe
it did get a little higher than that.
7and 8am were dry this morning, but at 9am it
poured. 20 minutes later and it appears to have stopped,
and it is getting bright outside - but sun bright. The
clouds are probably too thick to let the sun through
until maybe 2pm and then for the rest of the day. I
think the best that can be said about this morning is
that it might rain, but maybe it won't. Today should see
a peak of 18° C, and during the sunny spells that may
not feel too bad if it is not too windy. Tomorrow's
forecast shows rain for nearly all the day, and some of
it may be heavy rain. Being a BBC forecast they have
also thrown in a few thunderstorms. It will be a cold
day with only 15° C expected at best.![]() I described all of yesterday morning yesterday, and I don't think I have much to add to that, except, at the risk of repeating myself, but it is worth saying it twice because it was so momentous - Yesterday was the first time any nurse has ever said that my blood pressure may be too low instead of far too high. The rest of yesterday, plus last night, and the start of this morning, is all described in my complete archived page for today. |

There was some weak
and hazy sunshine first thing yesterday morning, but
the majority of the day was rather dull. A single
shower was forecast for 5pm, followed by an hour of
drizzle. I think both happened. It was a generally
cool day with the temperature only reaching 17° C. The
wind was fairly light, but enough to make it feel a
bit cooler when outside.
Today is looking really grim. It was raining well
before I got up, and the rain may last all day long (but
may finish before midnight). The forecast says mostly
light rain, but there have been a few medium heavy
downpours. Today will be cold, or at least rather cool,
with the temperature only reaching 16° C. Tomorrow may
see some sunny spells, but at the moment the forecast
says a mix of drizzle and light rain from 9am to 4pm. It
will be slightly less cool than today with the
temperature reaching 18° C.![]() Yesterday was a fairly good day. It was dry, and rather cool, but I still walked to the pub. The little bit of exercise was enough to improve my health readings even if not my actual health. The rest of the day must have been good because this morning I may not feel it, but all my readings suggest I am in reasonable health. Yesterday. last night, this morning, my appointment with the nurse, and a bit more of this morning, are all described in my full archived page for today. |

Yesterday was a lot
different to to the weather forecast. After a bright
start it was supposed to rain. It did come across as
quite dull and mirky, but there was no real rain until
around 3pm when it did, indeed, bucket down ! That
rain may have lasted less than half an hour, but there
may have been another light shower or two before the
clouds started to break up in the evening. It was
supposed to be quite a cool day. Just 17° C was
forecast as the maximum temperature, but I am sure I
saw 20 or even 21° C on my thermometers.
I don't recall seeing full sunshine earlier, but
there is some very weak and hazy sunshine as I type
this. It is just enough to cast a very pale shadow.
Earlier forecasts were full of doom and gloom, but now
it seems that it won't rain until 5pm, although it will
be rather dull from mid morning onwards. The afternoon
temperature should reach 17° C, although a lively wind
may make it feel cooler. Tomorrow currently looks like a
terrible day, but that might change overnight, like
today did. The current forecast is for light rain almost
all day, and with the BBC's favourite,
thunderstorms from mid afternoon to early evening.
The temperature may only reach 16° C tomorrow, and will
feel a lot less in rain and strong winds in the
afternoon.![]() It seems I may have made a cock up yesterday, and labelled yesterday as the day before. Hopefully I will correct as much as I can, and get the dates correct from now on. Yesterday was actually a semi good day - good as in the rain held off for long enough to go for a walk in the park. Most of yesterday, plus notes about my night, and this morning, is described in my complete archived page for today. |

Yesterday was a
relatively cool day with the temperature only peaking
at 21° C. Most of the day featured sunny spells, and
from around 6pm they turned into almost, but not quite
full sunshine. I think it was around 1pm when we lost
any sunshine for an hour or so as some rather dark,
and threatening clouds drifted over. Fortunately it
stayed dry.
This morning started off nice and bright with
some nice sunshine, but now it is rather cloudy outside,
and the weather forecast says it will soon rain, and
that rain may continue until 6pm. Only light rain is
forecast, and I would not be surprised if there weren't
some dry spells between showers. It is going to be an
even cooler day with just 17° C expected, and that will
be at the start of the evening. It should be a dry
night, and tomorrow may start with strong sunshine, but
most of tomorrow may only feature sunny spells, and even
some completely sunless hours. It may rain for a couple
of hours at the start of the evening. For one single
hour it may be warmer than today when at 3pm it might be
18° C. Of course the chances off anything happening at
the quoted times tomorrow, and probably also today, is
unlikely.
![]() Yesterday was not exactly a good day. I felt zero get up and go, and so I ended up doing very little, but not actually nothing. I think in today's writing I will just skip over all the times when I was doing nothing but reading and resting, and even the occasional snooze. Only 1,732 words today, and you can read them all in my complete archived page for today, and which includes notes about my night and this morning. |

09:24 BST
Yesterday started bright but
rather cool compared to what we have been used to
later. The sunny spells were supposed to continue
until 2pm, but I am not sure they did last that long.
The afternoon reached 21° C, but that didn't feel warm
with no sunshine, and a cooling wind.
![]() This morning seems
sunnier than the forecast seemed to make me
expect, but it is still quite cool, and once again
the afternoon may only peak at 21° C. The sunny
spells should continue all day until 6pm when the
sky may clear, and we'll get full sunshine until
sunset, but it will happen too late to increase
the temperature. Tomorrow's weather returns to
something more appropriate to April. Not long
after a dry start it will start to rain, and with
no sunshine from then onwards, it may only reach
17° C by late afternoon. Even worse than that is
the temperature may dip around midday to a very
chilly 14° C after reaching 15° C by mid morning.
It seems like it will be a really horrid day.
Yesterday started out really good, and the afternoon beer tasting session was very enjoyable even if the consequences of it were a total disaster - the amount of disaster was easily measurable this morning, but it had been feeling a disaster by late last night. The good and the bad of my day, night and his morning, is all described, with some photos, in my complete archived page for today. |

08:34 BST
After a quite dull start,
yesterday turned into a summers day. That wasn't bad
considering the weather forecasters think that today,
1st June, is the start of summer. The dull start
turned into sunny spells, and they quickly turned into
full sunshine, although there was still an occasional
passing cloud to briefly dim the sun. The temperature
easily reached the forecast 25° C.
![]() Once again the forecast
says a sunny start, and yet it is rather dull
again. Hopefully, like the last few days, the sun
will break through, and the temperature, currently
18° C according to my outside thermometers, will
rise to a maximum of just 21° C, according to the
forecast. I would have hoped for at least a couple
more degrees. Soon after the temperature reaches
21° C the sky will cloud over, and it might be
dull until 8pm. Tomorrow should be a sunny day
with full sunshine for most of the daylight hours.
For all that it may still only peak at 21° C again
(if indeed that really will be the peak today).
Yesterday seemed to be a very good day, and that is surprising because there are a few things that would have made it a less than good day. Maybe the hot sunshine, and rather humid air, as English summers often are, out voted some of the negative things. The ups and downs of my day, illustrated with a lot of pictures, plus some notes about my night, and also this morning, can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |
