I usually find the Met Office forecast to get fairly near to reality, but this morning they have boobed. In the last few minutes it has become overcast with some quite dark looking clouds, but before that it was sunny, with a lot of clear sky.
   Today it seems the BBC's (Meteogroup) forecast came closer to predicting the morning weather. It is still not quite right because what I can actually see is a build up of heavy cloud, and it seems the sun is going to have a hard time breaking through that lot again. Both forecast's seem to agree that this afternoon is going to range between rain and heavy rain, with the Met Office saying it will start an hour earlier at 1pm. The BBC say it will be 17° C, and the Met Office say it will be just 16° C. On the whole, it is looking like a mostly nasty sort of day. Tomorrow may see light cloud with a few sunny spells, but it is going to be cold, or almost cold, at just 14° C.

   Yesterday could be described as "a quiet day", and that could be code for saying I hardly did anything of note. I did do a few things, and I describe them, along with my dreams, and my thoughts this morning, in my full archive page for today.

   I noticed that it was raining at 6am, and since then the rain has just turned to light drizzle. I noted that people passing by were still using umbrellas just now. Maybe it will stop drizzling by late morning, but it will stay heavily overcast until 3pm according to the latest revision to the forecast. It is possible that there could be a few brief sunny spells after that. The latest revision to the forecast omits the small chance of a shower at 5pm. It should be almost as warm as yesterday, 17° C, but without the sunshine it will probably feel quite cool. Tomorrow may be lightly overcast until the cloud starts to thicken in the afternoon. By mid afternoon it may start to rain, and that rain could continue until gone sunset. Some of it could be quite heavy.

   Yesterday I achieved something I didn't think I would do. I did have some alternate ideas for things to do yesterday, and there were a few things I thought I should definitely do, but by the time I was washed and dressed the lure of the sunshine got too strong. I never did get around to doing that washing up, or re-check the old PC I had been playing with. I just had to get out into the sunshine. Yesterday's walk was one of those walks where I kept daring myself to go further. I ended up walking over 6 miles, and covered lots of new ground. My weight was wonderfully low at the end of the walk, and even though I knew it was partly dehydration I still thought it worth rewarding myself with a takeaway.    Today's forecast has started wrong ! As I write this there is sunshine from over my left shoulder. It is not constant sunshine because there are thin streaky clouds that occasionally pass in front of the sun. The BBC weather forecast reckons there should be sunny spells from late morning  until sunset. The Met Office says there could be non stop sunshine from midday to 4pm with sunny spells a few hours either side. By 4pm the temperature could rise to 18° C - not hot, or even warm, but it should feel pleasant. Tomorrow morning will probably see a return to thick cloud with the possibility of some rain. The afternoon will be lightly overcast, and so a bit brighter, and there is even a chance that the sun could break through for a few moments. The afternoon temperature could be as low as 14° C.

   Yesterday's grey skies provided no inspiration to do much. More than that, they soaked up any desire to do anything. I guess it didn't matter because Sunday has always been a day of rest, although I actually did very little resting. That's not to say I was rushing around, but I did spent/waste quite a lot of time playing with the old PC I wasted much time on, on Saturday. I did make some progress, but I think I am wasting my time. My day, my evening, my sleep, and this morning are all described as best I can in my full archive page for today.

    The latest revision to the forecast just shows grey cloud from dawn to dusk, but I think it was fairly bright earlier this morning - at least for short time it seemed to be bright enough to give the impression of some hazy sunshine lighting up the still drawn curtains. Today will be warmer less cool than yesterday. This morning started around 11° C, and the afternoon high will be 14° C, but in the latest revision to the forecast it will now only be 14° C for one hour, and 12° C to 13°C will be more typical. There is no specific time for any rain, but there is still a 10% chance of rain at any time today. Tomorrow will start almost as warm as this afternoon, and still very overcast. By mid morning the sun may start to break through the clouds, and later in the afternoon there could be several hours of non stop sunshine. The temperature may rise to a more comfortable 18° C in the late afternoon.

   I was still thinking about going for a walk yesterday, but time seemed to slip by without me noticing it, and in the end I decided it was too late to go for a walk. I am not sure why I set an arbitrary deadline for abandoning going for a walk. There is no real reason why I couldn't go out at 3 or even 4pm, but somehow I just seem to think it is best to get going in the morning, although occasionally I got out as late as 1pm. Maybe it is just a fact that if I don't get out early enough I get distracted by other things, and that was probably what happened yesterday. I found enough things to do to keep me occupied for most of the day, and even in the evening when I got very drunk.     The headline feature this morning is how cold it is. The forecast predicts 8° C, and one of my thermometers said 7.7° C. At this rate it feels it won't be too long before we get the first frost. The good news is that this morning is bright and sunny. It will start to cloud over around midday, and by 2pm it could be very dull. Actually the forecast has just been updates, and now brings these times forward by an hour.  There is just a very small chance of rain late in the afternoon. The afternoon temperature will probably be no higher than 12° C. Tomorrow will only see various shades of grey, but the temperature may rise to 15° C.

  I definitely didn't feel keen to go for a walk yesterday, but I also definitely wanted to see what had been done to "The Bridge Of Doom" in the Linear Park. I thought I would just do a short walk to see the bridge, and then come home again. I didn't even bother to put on my proper boots when I went out. I just wore a pair of cheap and cheerful trainers.  For this walk I put a coat on - the first time I have worn a coat since late spring (or maybe earlier). My afternoon was mainly spent playing about with some old computer bits.     This morning has started off very wet. The rain probably varies between light and medium heavy, but seems to have been quite persistent since I first looked outside (maybe around 6am). At the moment the sky is very dark grey, and it looks as if the rain could go on forever, but it may be like yesterday and brighten up mid morning. The latest revision to the forecast says the chance of rain after 10am will be no higher than 10% for the rest of the day. There could be sunny periods around midday, and a full sunshine for 4 and 6pm. It is only a chilly 9° C now, and the afternoon high may be no more than 14° C. Tomorrow may start bright and sunny, but by early afternoon, and maybe a bit before, we will lose any sunshine, and there could be some hours of light rain. It will be even colder - just a chilly 12° C maximum !

     The Forecast for today actually describes yesterday fairly well. Early this morning there was some heavy rain. It probably stopped around 8am. As I write this the sky looks mostly blue, and there is nice warm sunshine coming through the windows, and warming my back. If we are lucky the weather will remain bright, and sometimes sunny until the next band of rain crosses the sky. The current forecast says that will happen around 4pm, and last, on and off, into the evening. With a maximum temperature of 15° C it is going to feel rather cool today. Tomorrow may see a bit less rain, but there will probably be more rain than sunshine. It may be even cooler - just 14° C.

   Yesterday morning seemed to slip past far too fast. It wasn't helped by another rambling phone call from Lee that must have lasted almost an hour. Before I knew it, it was midday, and still hadn't had a shower. I pretty much knew at that point that I would not be going for a walk, and probably wasn't really going to do anything at all. That prediction was pretty accurate. It seems I did little more than read, both from screen, and paper, and eat. It also includes my predictions for what I might do today - probably some walking and some drinking.

     The garden has been watered, and will be watered more today ! I don't think I would call the rain, I saw earlier this morning, heavy rain, but it was certainly enough over a couple of hours to give the garden a good watering.  It seems like the garden is going to be watered several more times today. The latest update to the forecast says there could be a sunny spell around 10am. That seems unlikely when I look out the window, but there definitely was a sunny spell a little earlier on. It probably lasted for 10 or 15 minutes. I think it probably happened just as the last rain was falling. Today is not only going to be predominately dull and gloomy, and wet, but it is going to be a rather cool 18° C.  Tomorrow gets better, and worse. There could be a few hours featuring sunny spells, but more rain is predicted to fall than today, and it was also be very close to cold. An afternoon high of just 15° C is predicted.

   My cheese delivery arrived at about 9.30am yesterday - about in the middle of the one hour time slot I was advised of.  With my cheese delivery out of the way so early I had plenty of time to do other stuff before going out for a walk. "Other stuff" was almost exclusively doing a bit of laundry. After that there was a sort of test of my health and fitness - a short walk, but one involving climbing to the highest part of Hilly Fields. I couldn't comment on my health and fitness, but it does seem my stamina continues to slowly improve.   I was going to say that it was another very dull start, but that was before I realised the sun had barely risen. It is currently just starting to show over the rooftops to the east. Now I can see it properly, the sky is looking very clear. The most recent revision to the weather forecast shows a bit more sunshine than in the early version screenshot above, but there will still be several hours that only see sunny spells. Today should reach 23° C, but tomorrow is forecast to be much cooler, maybe just 17° C, and it will be very dull with some rain. It would seem that today is the last fling of summer.

  Unlike the day before, I was definitely active yesterday.  I achieved my objective for the day - that being to try and take a few snaps of "The Bridge Of Doom" in the River Pool Linear Park while it was being repaired. It involved a long walk than I originally thought, or maybe I made it longer because I was feeling mostly OK.   Today, as predicted in the forecast, has started off very grey and gloomy. The latest revision says the cloud should thin a bit soon (although it doesn't look it), and the first sunny spells may now be at 10am (yeah, sure !). The sun may finally break through completely by 11am. If it does then the rest of the day should be sunny. Once again it should reach 23° C. Most of tomorrow should be sunny, and the temperature might hot 24° C, but it will get cloudy in the evening. The day after tomorrow may be much cooler, and I probably won't have to water the garden because rain is expected for a lot of the day.

  Yesterday was almost a day of rest - which is the tradition for a Sunday.  I don't think I had intended to rest as much as I did. On the other hand I must have been a bit busy for a fair time because the day seemed to slip past without any boredom creeping in. The most important thing is that I was very careful not to put too much stress on the big, and now blood filled, blister on the ball of my right foot. Among the things I did was some laundry, some photography in my garden, and eating a little more than I probably should have.   The latest update to the forecast for today says there will be only  sunny periods between 9am and 1pm, but it is almost 9pm now, and the sky still looks fairly clear.  Today could be like yesterday where the forecast seemed to change several times during the morning until they were sure they got it fairly close to reality. For the moment I assume that this afternoon will be very sunny, and the temperature will rise to a nice 23° C. At the moment the forecast for tomorrow only differs in one main aspect from today, and that is it may be one degree cooler.

  A significant change to my plans for the day happened when I got an answer to a text message I sent to Richard "Dik" Tokarski. I asked what time he would be busking with Marta, He replied that she was feeling ill, and so they would not be doing anything until maybe next weekend. My original plan had been to go out sometime after 2pm, on the assumption that they would start their busking around 3pm. I thought I might take a less direct route than the 1.5 miles to where they would be playing. Once I found out there would be nothing to see in that direction I changed my plans to go out much earlier...or so I thought. I ended up doing a long walk - which was good. Then discovered something that was very bad, and which really pissed me off. I followed that by eating more than I might have. Ultimately what I ate was no problem, and together with the walk produced some good result this morning.   Today seems to be one of those days when the weather forecast is being corrected hour by hour, and whatever is published can only be taken as a rough guide. It seems that today will feature fewer spells of continuous sunshine, but most of the gaps will be filled in by sunny intervals. There could be some periods when light cloud covers the whole sky. Once again it should be a dry day, and the temperature, at maybe 22° C, will be a little warmer than yesterday. Tomorrow could be the best day for some time to come. It is probably going to be mostly sunny, and the temperature may briefly rise to 24° C. The following days will see the temperature drop, and the amount of sunshine fade away.

  Yesterday was a good day. In fact probably the best for almost a week. Two important things happened. The first was that I got out for a walk. It wasn't a long walk, but it felt quite long. I was actually a bit disappointed when I got home and saw how short it was. It seemed as if it was longer than it was because it involved going up a lot of hills, and covered some ground I had never explored before. The second was an afternoon beer session with Jodie and Michael. It was a special session because it was the first time I showed off my new video projector. I showed my own videos of a selection of bands I had seen over the last couple of years.   The day is off to a good start. The sun is shining, but there are some small clouds in the sky. There also seems to be some high up haze that is making the sky look a very pale blue. The forecast predicts the whole day will be sunny again, and maybe it will today. Once again the temperature will peak at just 20° C, and today it might stay there for a bit less time than was forecast for yesterday (I didn't check the temperature myself to say one way or another). The great paradox is that the forecast for tomorrow replaces many hours of sunshine with just sunny spells, and yet the temperature may rise to 23° C. Some hours will feature non stop sunshine.

  I couldn't raise much enthusiasm for doing anything yesterday. I think I was feeling a bit depressed for some reason. My biggest, and maybe only achievement was to make a long audio lead so I could connect my projector to my speakers across the other side of the room where the screen is.  Other "achievements" included eating badly, and cancelling Jodie's invite to come over and have some beer, because it seemed like she would be able to get here until far too late in the afternoon.   It is probably not fair to say 20° C in the afternoon represents a cool day, but after the 32° C we had a few weeks back, it is quite a drop. It is still a long way away from any need for a coat. A coat will definitely not be needed in direct sunshine, and as promised in yesterday's forecast for today, it seem there will be a lot of sunshine today. The sun is pouring through my front windows as I type this. The latest revision to the forecast says that tomorrow should be identical to today.

  After only getting little more than an hours sleep the previous night I expected yesterday to be a very lazy day. At times it was, and I did have at least one snooze that probably lasted for about an hour, but otherwise I was fairly alert, and doing stuff. Quite what a lot of that stuff was is hard to say. Mostly it was little jobs, but I did do one big job, and was probably doing it for at least an hour. I describe that job with pictures that don't show the enormity of the job (from my sweating perspective), and, as usual, describe more of my day, my dinner, my evening, my sleep, and my thoughts for this morning, plus my very vague plans for today, in my full archive page for today.

  The weather has changed a lot overnight. Yesterday's prediction was for another day of sunny spells today, but come the day, it has changed to be mostly dull until late afternoon. The BBC forecast even suggested a spot of rain this morning, and there could be some truth in that. I went into the garden at about 8am, and I thought I felt one or two drops of very light rain hit my face. Nothing noticeable has fallen so far, but looking out towards the road it does look that sort of grey that comes before, during, or after a shower. Today was always going to be a little cooler than yesterday, but now it is probably going to be a whole 5 degrees cooler, just 23° C. If the forecast for tomorrow can be believed, it will be a very sunny day, but the temperature may only reach 20° C.

  Yesterday was a day that was mostly good, had a very bad, or annoying end, but a fair night. Actually it might have been a good night. I had already decided not to go out walking for a fourth consecutive day. I had a few things to do at home, and I fancied resting my feet. I wasn't idle though...well not all the time. Instead of giving my leg muscles a workout, I gave my arms a workout. It started with washing a hand towel, and a medium sized bath towel.

  Towels can get very heavy when saturated with water ! I washed those two, and hung them out on the line to dry. At this time of year the sun never gets to shine on the washing line, and with not much wind they were still very slightly damp when I brought them in to finish drying sometime around 4 or 5pm. The reason for bringing them in then was because I needed the line for another item of laundry.  That other item was a big bath towel. It was bloody heavy when wet, and impossible to wring out by hand. 20 minutes of my time was spend sunbathing.   Today may see a bit of cloud reducing the sunshine to just sunny spells, but at the moment this may only happen a few times from mid afternoon onwards. Once again the forecast says the temperature may reach 28° C. Tomorrow may see full sunshine until 6pm when the last couple of hours until sunset may only see sunny spells. It will probably be a few degrees cooler, but still very warm.

   I had to go out for a walk in the lovely warm sunshine - both because my health demanded it, and because it was warm and sunny and rather lovely out. However before I could go out I had some tasks to complete. First of all was some laundry. I washed 3 t-shirts plus some underwear. Once washed I hung it outside to dry. There was not a lot of wind to speed up the drying, but it was all 99% dry when I brought it in some 7 hours later.  With the laundry done I turned my attention to the garden.Finally I went for a walk. It was a comparatively short walk compared to my recent average, but it really knackered me.   Unless something comes along to spoil it, high summer is back ! Today should be sunny from dawn (it was) to dusk. Even more amazing after some the rather cool days recently is that the temperature today should reach 28° C. After a sunny start tomorrow may see some cloud gathering from mid afternoon, but it will be another dry day, and still reach 28° C.

   Today we wake up to an England that is as close to martial law as can be got in peacetime. It is allegedly to keep the proles safe from a second wave of Covid-19 - the rather over-rated virus - but I see it as a rehearsal for next January when a "hard Brexit" happens. Shortages and incomplete laws could lead to rioting. For this rehearsal there is, from today, a 10pm curfew, and no more than 6 people can gather together. As yet the army will not be brought in to shoot people breaking curfew or in bigger gatherings. The same may not be true in January.

  Yesterday turned out to be a good day to end freedom. Not a lot happened in the morning, although somehow I wasn't ready to wash my hair, have a shower, and start getting dressed until midday ! Even when half dressed I didn't do anything useful like water the garden. I was just resting up until it was time to go out for a walk - a special walk.  It was a three mile round trip to see a gig. I left early, but spent around 90 enjoyable minutes at the gig.   The forecast has been revised since I took this screenshot. The only change has been to reduce the afternoon temperature to just 23° C. It seems the brief peak to 24° C will not happen now. It seems the non stop sunshine will happen again tomorrow, but it will be warmer - a more summer feeling 27° C (possibly even 28° C).

   Yesterday I didn't have to worry about any deliveries, and I was free to indulge myself in any way that I fancied. This meant going for a walk in the sunshine...well, a lot of it was in sunshine, but it did cloud over a few times. Before going for a walk I had the little matter of an unwanted visitor to deal with - the mouse in my kitchen. It was a task I was not looking forward to.  I found the mouse had got at a source of food it shouldn't have. I cleaned  and scrubbed the work surface with antibacterial cleaning cloths. I then set out a series of mousetraps along the path the mouse had been taking.After that I was free to go out for a walk. I covered just 42 yards short of 4 miles even with my right leg, particularly around the knee, giving me some bad discomfort.   The latest revision to the forecast shows more sunny spells through the day. It might just be a long sunny spells, but as I write this it could be described as "sunny". I don't think the brightness has dipped for over half an hour, and possibly longer. More of this afternoon will be 20° C today, and for a while it could be 21° C. It will be another dry day, and so I had better water the garden. Tomorrow could see full sunshine from 11am until sunset, and the the temperature should rise to 23° C.

  The short story is I wasted a lot of time waiting for a parcel that subsequently disappointed. I ate too many snacks, and my dinner was delicious but not good for me. My evening was ultimately spoiled by audible evidence that I have a new mouse in my kitchen.   I have my doubts about the accuracy of the above forecast. I don't recall much in the way of sunshine at 7am. The sky is currently streaked with clouds, and now and then a few rays of sunshine filter through a tiny gap. Maybe that is all we can expect in the way of sunshine for much of today. The latest revision to the forecast only changes one thing, and that is that the sunny periods/intervals now extend through the day until sunset - hopefully. Although there will be less sunshine than yesterday, it will be a whole 1° C warmer. We were promised it would be 21° C in yesterday's forecast for today, but now it seems it will only be 20° C. Oh well, it looks like warmer days are coming, but not tomorrow. Having said that, it does seem tomorrow could see 21° C, but absolutely no sunshine is forecast.

  Yesterday was a good day. I had my latest beer order delivered, and then soon after a really good drinking session with Michael, Jodie, Mark and Arm. Mark was there to pick up Jodie to go out to eat with Arm, and Arm was there because it was easy for him to jump on a train to meet Jodie and Mark here. Our mini party ended after my usual dinner time, and laziness and the effects of the beer lead me to ordering an Indian takeaway. I only ate a part of it (more today), but it was delicious.   The latest revision to the forecast improves upon the screenshot above. The full sunshine is now predicted to last right through to 5pm, and the last couple of hours of daylight will feature just sunny spells. For all the predicted sunshine, the temperature may only rise to 19° C today. At the moment it should only be 12° C, but with the sunshine pouring through my open window it feels warmer than that. Tomorrow should be another dry day, but only sunny spells are forecast for all the daylight hours. That is a lot less sunshine than today, but the temperature should be back to 21° C tomorrow.

   I was almost tempted to go out for a walk yesterday, but I allowed the flimsiest, and one important excuse to stop me. The important thing was that I was expecting a parcel delivery, and it arrived rather earlier than expected. It was a good thing I didn't try and go out in the early afternoon.   It was bright and sunny first thing this morning, but even then there were a lot of clouds to be seen. There are still some patches of blue sky to be seen, but none where the sun is - at the moment ! The forecast says it will continue dull until this afternoon when it will be extremely dull, and then maybe the sun will burst through as afternoon becomes evening. Sadly sunset will not be far behind that last bit of sunshine. It should stay dry, but the temperature could be a couple of degrees less than yesterday. Today may see 21° C for a few short hours. The current prediction for tomorrow shows a very sunny days, but it will, once again, possibly be a degree or two cooler than today.

   I was a bit concerned about my weight yesterday morning. It initially seemed I hadn't lost a single gram in the previous 24 hours. Well I suppose that was better than actually gaining weight. What I didn't realise while I was writing yesterday morning was that I had more visits to the toilet in store. That stopped me doing some thing, and in doing so, allowed me to do other things. I did a whole lot of mostly insignificant things, and some significant things yesterday. I describe them all in loose ways in my full archive page for today.   The weather forecast overestimated the thickness of the cloud cover, and the latest revision acknowledges that it is only medium gloomy right now, however the forecast still insists that before long the cloud will get denser, and the light even dimmer. It is one thing the BBC (Meteogroup) and Met Office agree on this morning. Despite the dense, dark clouds it is predicted it will be another dry day. Later today there could be some sunny spells, and the temperature may reach 23° C. I have a funny feeling that might be a very humid/close 23° C. Tomorrow may be almost a re-run of today, but with any sunny spells replaced by thick gloomy clouds.

   As intended, I didn't go for a walk yesterday, but as not intended, I didn't do half the things I thought I might do. Despite that it was not a boring day, or at least it didn't seem so to me. That doesn't mean there was much to say about yesterday, but what there was is in my full archive page for today. It also includes my thoughts and observations about this morning.

  The latest revision to the forecast says there should be sunny spells right now, but it is looking quite dull outside. Maybe the weather is working to the earlier forecast (above), and the sunny spells will start at 9am. Both the forecast above, and the latest revision, say the sunny spells will finish after 11pm, and then there may nit be another until 5pm, or later. It should be another dry day, and the temperature may peak at 21° C. Tomorrow will be dull, very dull at times, but there is currently no more than a 10% chance of rain, and once again the temperature should still reach 21° C.

   I reckoned there was a 75% chance of going for another walk yesterday, and with the sun shining when I was ready to go out, that is exactly what I did. Unfortunately the sun was quite intermittent, and I rarely had the joy of walking in sunshine.  My plan was to walk to Forest Hill, and then re-visit some of the parts I had walked around with my mum maybe 60 years ago. That was exactly what I did, and took many pictures along the way.   It may not be sanctioned by the weather forecast, but it is bright and sunny right now. It is probably the case that today may well turn out to be very similar to yesterday. One small change that is probably more definite is that the temperature may rise to 19° C today. The amount of sunshine, and when it might happen remains in a state of flux for now, and the forecast is liable to keep changing. Tomorrow may feature a lot of sunshine - most, but not all of it as sunny spells. It may also be warmer at 21° C.

   I finished yesterday saying I would probably go for a walk, but that it would take no much of a distraction to stop me. Evidently there was no distraction, and from the route I took, I must have been feeling quite positive about the walk once I had had a shower. I thought the route I had in mind was rather ambitious, and so it turned out to be, although it was actually shorter than I guessed. I expected it to be 5 miles or more, and yet it was only 4 miles, but it did involve some very high, and very steep hills !   The sky is certainly clear at the moment, and for the next few hours we should be treated to glorious sunshine. We need it to warm up another very chilly morning. I haven't checked, but I wouldn't dispute the forecast 11° C. It seems it will cloud over as the morning ends, and the afternoon will probably be dull and grey - maybe light grey most of the time. The temperature is predicted to rise to just 18° C today, but it should stay dry. Tomorrow should see more sunshine with some long spells of it, but mostly just sunny intervals popping up during the afternoon. It could be a whole degree warmer than today.

  The highlight of yesterday, if it can be called a highlight, was an early morning walk to the pharmacy. It is only a 5 minute walk there, and so not really significant when compared to my usual walks. The reason for visiting the pharmacy was to pick up my latest repeat prescription. I arrived there before they had even opened, and had to wait for 10 minutes before I could go in. It was fairly predictable that my prescription was not complete, but on this occasion it was close to it. I picked up my complete prescription a couple of hours later. Not a lot else happened yesterday, but I have described what I could, and there are also my thoughts this morning about my health and stuff in my full archive page for today.

  Even the latest revision to the forecast says we ought to be seeing sunny spells about now, but as yet the sun has not put in an appearance. However, the cloud over to the east looks thin and streaky, and so the sun may break through at any time. Unfortunately the hour of full sunshine, shown as at 9am in the screenshot above, has been deleted from the latest revision of the forecast. It now shows 8 and 9am, as well as midday, as the only times for some sunny spells. This may be no better than yesterday, but at least it should stay dry until very late this evening. It will probably bea couple of degrees cooler than yesterday - maybe just 19° C. Tomorrow is currently shown as sunshine for most of the morning, and an overcast afternoon, but it should stay dry. The temperature may rise no higher than 18° C.

   I was unsure if I wanted to go for a walk yesterday. I was feeling creaky, and my rib cage was feeling sore, but by late morning I felt I could tackle a short walk. Like many short walks it turned out to be a bit longer than I thought I would walk. I took my Canon "Powershot" SX40 bridge camera on this walk, and so my description of the day includes lots of pictures. Later in the day Jodie popped over to test my new cheese for me, and I then I hastened her departure by cooking fish for dinner.   The forecast above has been revised, and the main change is that the rain that was forecast to fall between 2pm and 5pm is now shown as heavy rain between 2 and 3pm. There is still a 10% chance of rain at other times. I suspect the amount of cloud cover and rainfall will be changing through the day, and later revisions to the forecast could be a fair bit different. The one constant will probably be the weather. This morning it is a mild 17° C, and soon after midday it should reach a warm 21° C. Tomorrow may only reach 19° C. The morning is predicted to have sunny spells. Late afternoon could see heavy rain.

  The most significant thing about yesterday was the delivery of the cheese I ordered...well, sort of significant. Maybe more significant was that the delivery was early enough for me to get out for what ended up as a fairly long walk that started soon after midday. Once again I took a proper camera with me for some more interesting shots (not all of which were better than my little pocket Canon could manage).   The latest revision to the forecast acknowledges that it is sunny right now, and it is not just a sunny spell. Almost all the sky I can see outside my front windows is blue, and it seems like this sunshine could continue a bit longer than just until 9am. In fact it is 9am as I write this, and so it looks like it could stay sunny right through until the afternoon. The afternoon is still predicted to be lightly overcast, and there may be no sunshine. There is even a chance of rain at 8pm tonight. At 20° C it should feel warm outside, and after the  morning sunshine in the front rooms of the house too. Tomorrow looks like it is going to be a rather grey day with rain in the afternoon. Some of that rain could be heavy rain.

 

  This morning has started with a clear sky, and so it is another cold start to the day, but it is sunny, and the latest revision to the forecast says the sun could stay shining until mid afternoon, and from then there should be sunny spells until sunset. The sunshine should raise the temperature to 19° C, and so it should be comfortable, but still not like summer. The two main changes for tomorrow will be that the afternoon will be overcast, maybe lightly overcast, and the temperature may just hit 20° C.
 
  Yesterday was not a great day. I found it hard to motivate myself, and probably the main reason for that was that I was not feeling good. If it was a Covid-19 infection I had back in February, then it could have been the virus having another go at me. I ached in a mild 'flu sort of way, and I had a weak but persistent headache. I even had a touch of that chesty sort of feeling that is a bit like asthma, but isn't. I could breath perfectly OK, and my Pulse Oximeter said my blood oxygen saturation was still in the 97 - 98% region (i.e. as high, or higher than many people who have never been a heavy, or indeed any kind of smoker).
