My
Electronic Diary For September 2025 |
Tuesday 30th September 2025 |
09:19 BST
The forecast said full sunshine, apart from the misty, almost foggy start to the day. Once the mist lifted there were only some sunny spells. At times a nasty looking dark grey/almost black cloud would drift across the sky, and it would seem like it might rain. I think that despite sub optimal conditions, the temperature probably did peak at the forecast 18° C. ![]() Yesterday could be called a rather special day - a day that was rather satisfying ! It all started with a walk that was longer than expected. I mean the special bit started with the walk, but the actual day started off a bit mundane - just the usual stuff. My day is illustrated with many photographs, and the full version, including notes about my night and this morning, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Monday 29th September 2025 |
09:11 BST
Most of yesterday was quite dull, although there were a few short sunny spells in the early morning, and as the sun was setting. No rain was shown on the forecast, but there was quite a lot of light rain or fine drizzle in the middle of the day. The temperature only rose to 16° C but, again, under the grey sky it felt colder. ![]() Yesterday was one of those days that was both good and bad. The bad was mostly, but not entirely booze related, but more about this and other things later. I have described as much as I can remember of a day when not a lot happened until the evening, and added notes about my night and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Sunday 28th September 2025 |
09:09 BST
Yesterday started bright, but by midday, perhaps a little earlier, the sky became full of dark looking clouds, and my weather stations said it would rain. There was no rain, and twords the end of the afternoon it brightened up a bit. The afternoon temperature still reached the forecast 17° C but under the grey sky it felt colder. ![]() Yesterday was an "interesting" day. As reported yesterday I had my first Mounjaro injection. It was easy enough to do, but I managed to give myself a much smaller dose than I was supposed to. It did have one unexpected result, and very little else. This, and the rest of my day, notes about my night, plus some notes about this morning, are all more fully described in my complete archived page for today. |
Saturday 27th September 2025 |
08:40 BST
Yesterday was a dull day. I can't seem to remember a single ray of sunshine (which may not mean there wasn't one that escaped my attention). Even without sunshine the temperature rose to the seemingly typical 16° C for late September. ![]() Yesterday was an odd day. I am not sure how to describe how I felt. I couldn't even work it out for myself. I didn't seem to feel sleepy tired, but I did seem to feel lacking in enthusiasm - a feeling that persisted in different degrees through the day. I did very little, but I did manage two important things. My day, and night and this morning, are all described in greater details, with pictures, in my complete archived page for today. |
Friday 26th September 2025 |
09:04 BST
Yesterday was forecast to feature strong sunshine all day. but I am sure I can remember quite a few dull hours. Even if there was full sunshine it was not a very warm day. The morning was particularly chilly. Even the afternoon, when the temperature peaked at 17° C did not feel that warm, although the sunshine coming through my south facing bedroom windows, did warm the room up enough that I had to open the window and let some of the heat out. ![]() Yesterday was another rather a good day - mostly. Maybe the morning was a bit rushed in places, and some of the rush was being delayed by another long, and 90% pointless call from my "friend" Lee, but I wrote about that yesterday. My day is more completely described, along with notes about my night and this morning, in my archived page for today. |
Thursday 25th September 2025 |
08:03 BST
I can't really say that
yesterday felt warm, except when sheltered from the
wind, and in direct sunshine - and I think there was
less of that than forecast. The afternoon reached the
forecast 17° C, but that was spoiled by the wind.
There were enough thin clouds this morning to dim
the sunshine a bit, but never stop it. The forecast says
full sunshine all day, but there are still thin clouds
in the sky as I write this, and I suspect that instead
of full sunshine some parts of today may only see very
long sunny spells. Once again 17° C is forecast. The
wind isn't shown as strong, but it is coming from the
north, and that could cool things off a bit. Tomorrow
may be two degrees cooler, but otherwise the range of
temperature may be similar, but sadly it may all happen
under grey, or even black sky. There is a 7% chance of
rain, which usually means it will be dry at 10am, but
the rest of the day shows 0% chance of rain....although
that could change when tomorrow arrives.![]() Yesterday was rather a good day, and while there was still some not so good bits, I seemed to feel it could almost be called a happy day. The first, and maybe the only good and bad bit was in the morning when I saw the nurse, but more about that in a paragraph or two. My day is more fully described, along with notes about my night and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Wednesday 24th September 2025 |
08:37 BST
After a sunny start,
yesterday was mostly dull - or very dull. During the
afternoon there were some huge, blue-black clouds to
be seen. It looked like there could be heavy rain,
possibly a thunderstorm at any moment, but it stayed
dry. The afternoon still reached 16° C like the last
couple of days.
I'm still waiting for the first sunny spells as
promised in the forecast. At the moment the clouds look
streaky, and maybe a gap will open up to let a bit of
sun through. If we do start to get sunny spells, and if
we get the promised full sunshine from 2pm, we could see
the temperature rise to 17° C. It seems to be about 12°
C as I type this at 08:56. Tomorrow could start at just
10° C, but full sunshine is predicted for most of
tomorrow, and that should get the temperature up to 17°
C again.![]() Yesterday was not the sort of day I expected. I thought I might be able to convince myself to go out for another walk, but that never happened because of a 6 hour long phone call from a friend. It was not the usual gas bag friend, but another who can also talk forever. More about that, how my night went, and this morning's adventures with the nurse, is all described in my complete archived page for today. |
Tuesday 23rd September 2025 |
08:30 BST
Yesterday was not a very
warm day, but it was still mostly quite pleasant.
There was quite a lot of sunshine that felt nice even
if the air temperature only reached the forecast 16°
C. Once the sun set it started to cool down fairly
quickly.
This morning was another very cold start - just
8° C ! There has been full sunshine for the last couple
of hours, but maybe the clouds will gather, and from
10am it will be just sunny spells. The sky is almost
clear at the moment, and somehow the idea that it will
get cloudy does not feel right, but I guess anything is
possible. Once again the afternoon high will be just 16°
C, but if the forecast turns out to be correct it will
be under a grey sky, and that will probably feel cold.
Tomorrow may start a bit warmer, if 10° C can ever be
described as warm. The morning should see sunny spells,
and the afternoon, full sunshine. That could take the
afternoon up to 17° C. That may feel very nice in full
sunshine.![]() Yesterday was quite a good day, but it did have a sting in it's tail. It involved fresh air and some walking, and that made me feel very hungry. That was the sting, and I fell for it hook line and sinker ! It might possibly inspire something similar, but with less food today......or not ! The good, the bad, and the ugly, and lots of pictures, plus the usual notes about my night and this morning, are all shown in my complete archived page for today. |
Monday 22st September 2025 |
08:54 BST
Yesterday was not a warm
day. The temperature only peaked at 15° C, but on the
plus side the breeze was quite light, and there was a
lot of sunny spells, and even non stop sunshine in the
morning. It all added up to "not that bad".
This morning was a very cold start - just 8° C -
but the full sunshine, that should last until 11am, and
then followed by sunny spells, should see an afternoon
high of 16° C. The wind may not be too strong, and there
would seem to be zero chance of rain today. It may not
feel too bad in the sunshine, but probably a little cool
in the shade. After a clear night, tomorrow could start
at just 7° C, but some hours of full sunshine should
warm things up fairly fast. It is possible that from 1pm
the clouds will gather, and tomorrow after should still
be dry, but it may get very dull and gloomy. That will
make the high of 16° C feel a lot cooler than today's
16° C with sunny spells.![]() Yesterday could be described as a good day for several reasons. The full sunshine instead of the forecast sunny spells yesterday morning was one good thing. Washing my hair and having a long overdue morning shower was a good thing too. The best thing was going out ! The less good thing was I heard from Jodie, and she said she was giving the beer session in the afternoon a miss because she didn't fancy rail replacement buses. My day, such as it was, is described, along with some notes about my night, and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Sunday 21st September 2025 |
09:38 BST
It was all change for
yesterday. The day before felt like summer, but
yesterday was much more autumnal. There were only
sunny spells in the morning, but they petered out
around mid morning and it became grey and damp
looking, although the rain would actually come later
in the afternoon. I don't seem to remember that the
rain was all that bad, but it did cool the day off.
The temperature had reached 20° C, but as soon as the
sky went very grey, and some rain fell, the
temperature slowly dropped to end up at (a forecast,
but probably true) 13° C by midnight.
The forecast shows only a few sunny spells for
this morning, but I have had strong sunshine pouring
through my windows for several hours now. It is now too
warm in my bedroom, and I have opened the window to let
in some of the 12° C air outside. The sky is looking
about 80% blue, and the strong sunshine will probably
last long beyond 10am when the forecast says it will be
cloudy until 1pm when sunny spells, or maybe strong
sunshine, will resume. Despite all the sunshine, the
forecast only shows a high of 15° C. The view to the
north shows just a few small fluffy clouds in a clear
blue sky. Both my weather stations say the pressure is
rising, and they predict a sunny day. I have a feeling
we will see more than 15° C today. The forecast for
tomorrow shows a very cold start - just 8° C - but there
could be loads of sunshine all morning, and the
afternoon will feature sunny spells, but only 15° C is
predicted again. ![]() Yesterday was another day when I did less than intended - a lot less ! I don't know why, and which feeling ruled the other but I felt like I had little energy, and little enthusiasm. Maybe I had no enthusiasm to find any energy. I still did a few things yesterday, and as much of them as I can remember are described, along with notes about my night, and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Saturday 20th September 2025 |
09:53 BST
Yesterday was very
much like a summers day. It was mostly sunny, and the
temperature easily reached 24° C, and I think it
briefly touched 25° C.The afternoon, and early evening
did feel surprisingly warm.
I don't know what happened to the sunny spells
shown for this morning on today's forecast. When I
opened the curtains, at about 7am, maybe a bit layer,
the sky looked very grey, and it looked damp out as if
it had rained, but that may have just been the grey
light from that sombre, depressing grey sky. The only
redeeming factor was that I think it was around 17° C
instead of the forecast 15° C. It is now 10am as I write
this, and there is not a single hint that we could get
the briefest sunny spell. By 1pm the temperature should
hit it's peak for today, 20° C, and it may stay there
for a couple of hours. From 3pm the sunny spells, if
they ever start, will be replaced by light rain until
6pm when we might, possibly, get some sunny spells, but
I doubt it. The latest revision to the forecast says it
might reach 21° C at 2pm, and only at 2pm. Tomorrow
should/may be dry, but it will not be warm. A maximum of
just 14° C is forecast. There may, or may not be, a
scattering of sunny spells tomorrow.![]() Yesterday was definitely warm, and it was an excellent day for a walk in the park - except I never went out once. The initial reason was because I could not have a shower because I had a big bucket of laundry in the bath. It was not long before I just wrote the day off. I did do a few things, and these and other stuff from my day, night, and this morning, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Friday 19th September 2025 |
09:01 BST
From time to time
yesterday reminded me of summer. It seemed to feel
slightly warm outside, and despite the forecast not
showing many sunny spells, there did seem to be enough
to make much of the day dry and bright, and happy !
The afternoon temperature was a few degrees warmer
than the last few days with a high of 21° C. It was
dry all day, and the breeze felt quite mild.
It is only starting to change from quite cool to
mildly warm as I write this, but it is sunny now. Full
sunshine, from now to sunset, means we should see an
afternoon high of 24° C - almost like a summers day.
Tomorrow may start with sunny spells, and it will be
fairly nice until 2pm, and it should reach a fair 20° C.
If the forecast for tomorrow contains any reality, then
after 2pm the sky will go grey, sometimes even dark
grey, and there could be light rain until mid evening.![]() Yesterday was a quite pleasant day. I didn't achieve all that much, but some of what I did achieve was useful. One good thing about yesterday is there seemed no rush for anything - except maybe for one thing that should have been rushed, was actually ignored. A more complete description of my day, night and this morning, can be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Thursday 18th September 2025 |
09:14 BST
Yesterday was a
miserable day, or so it was forecast. The forecast
said almost non stop rain until mid afternoon. There
was actually less rain than that, although it always
seemed damp outside. Like the morning, the afternoon
was dull with horrible grey clouds covering 99.9% of
the sky. The best part was that it still managed 18° C
from mid afternoon.
The forecast for today provides very little hope
of even a slightly nice day, or bit of day, but... The
forecast says almost black clouds as I write this, but
we have just had a sunny spell. I must admit it looks
unlikely we will get another, but maybe some small gap
in the clouds will line up with the sun. Surprisingly,
no rain at all is forecast for today. Late in the
afternoon we may even get some sunny spells, and the
temperature may reach 21° C - a warmth we haven't felt
for ages. Tomorrow may even be a full respite from the
woes of Autumn. There could be a lot of sunshine, and
the temperature may reach 24° C.![]() Yesterday was one of those days..... A day when just the weather forecast banished all hope of anything but a miserable day. It certainly put the brakes on any ideas or intents that I had. I'm not sure I can say it was a completely lazy day, but I have nothing to show for it. Anything I did do, plus some notes about my night, and this morning, is described in my complete archived page for today. |
Wednesday 17th September 2025 |
07:34 BST
Yesterday was an almost nice day.
If it had been a few degrees warmer it might have been
a nice day. There were several hours of full sunshine,
and most of the rest of the time there were sunny
spells, although I am sure I can remember an hour or
two when it seemed a bit dull. The afternoon
temperature was 18° C for 3 or 4 hours. Somehow
that seems good for mid September, but I'm sure it
shouldn't feel that good, or even "normal".
This morning started off rather cool at just 14°
C, but worse was that it is, and will be all day long,
dull, grey and wet. It is possible that the rain will
stop at 3pm. Before then there may only be light rain,
and a couple of hours may only see drizzle. Despite all
this negativity, the afternoon may still see 18° C
again. It may even be 18° C at midnight ! Tomorrow may
start at 17° C, and that would be good if it warmed up
from there, and it may do just that. By 2pm the
temperature may reach 21° C. That may also be the time
that the greyness becomes sunny spells. There might even
be full sunshine at 7pm - just before the sun set !![]() Yesterday is best described as "pleasant" - not quite good enough to be called good, but better than bad. I managed to achieve several good things, although I also managed some bad things that have left a legacy this morning. One good thing was evicting another 8 legged monster that decided to set up home in the corner of my bathroom. My day, plus notes about my night, and this morning, is all described in my complete archived page for today. |
Tuesday 16th September 2025 |
09:18 BST
was extremely windy. On the plus
side it did keep the clouds stirred up, and we had
lots of sunny spells through the day. The temperature
only rose to 18° C, but that didn't seem to feel all
that bad.
The wind calmed down yesterday evening, and today
the wind will only briefly touch 14 mph (at
10am....maybe). This morning has started with clear
skies, and full sunshine. Later on the clouds will be
back, the forecast says sunny spells for most of the
day, and even full sunshine again this evening. They day
should be completely dry, but it may rain after midnight
tonight. The afternoon should reach 18° C again. Sadly
tomorrow will be dull and wet. From morning to early
afternoon there will be rain. Some of it light rain, and
some of it just drizzle. By 3pm it may dry up, but it
will remain grey and gloomy.![]() Yesterday was one of those days where very little happened, but the day seemed to pass by very smoothly, and at times, even enjoyably. I didn't spend the whole day doing nothing, but I have very little to show for yesterday. In theory I have little to write about yesterday, but I'll see how it goes as I am writing. All I could remember to describe can be read, along with notes about my night and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Monday 15th September 2025 |
09:55 BST
Yesterday started very nice,
but by 3pm it started to rain. Some heavy rain was
forecast, but I seem to remember that mostly it was
light, but persistent rain. The day was slightly
unusual in that the warmest hours were 8 and 9pm with
the temperature peaking at 18° C. The reason was warm
air blowing in from the west.
Despite the warm(ish) wind last night, this
morning started at just 14° C. The main feature of
today's weather is very strong winds. Most hours, until
8pm when the winds should die down, will see winds of 40
to 45 mph. The wind will keep the clouds broken up, and
there should be loads of sunny spells today, and the
temperature should feel mild despite it only peaking at
18° C - however the latest revision to the forecast now
shows the high as being just 17° C. The headline for
tomorrow says "Sunny intervals and a moderate breeze".
There is not a lot to add to that except to say the
afternoon high may be 18° C.![]() Yesterday seemed to be quite a pleasant and even enjoyable day. Of course there were always set backs like another attempted long phone call from Lee, but at 11am I forced the call to an end because I had so much to do. For one thing I had to try and think up captions for all the pictures I showed yesterday. My day is described the best I can, and it can be read, along with notes about my night, and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Sunday 14th September 2025 |
09:41 BST
Yesterday was mostly a nice
day. There were mostly sunny spells, but it did get
cloudy in the afternoon, and there was some rain. Most
of the rain seemed light, but there was some fairly
heavy, and off in the distance I saw a weak flash of
lightning, and heard a peal of thunder. By 5pm, and
maybe a little earlier, it was back to sunny spells
until sunset. Once again the afternoon only reached
17° C, and clear skies in the night meant it cooled
off a lot in the night.
For once I almost agree that it was 10° C at 7am,
although my thermometers actually said 9.9° C ! It is
certainly a bright and sunny morning, but by 11am it
might reduce to just sunny spells. By 1pm the cloud may
be thick enough to stop even sunny spells, and from 3pm
we may see light rain. At 7pm we may get a thunderstorm,
but the odds are it may just be some moderately heavy
rain. 8pm could see heavy rain, and the day will be it's
warmest at 18° C. Tomorrow may see one hour as high as
18° C again. There will be two main features tomorrow -
there should be sunny spells all day, and it could be
very windy almost all day. In the middle of it all,
perhaps 2pm, the wind could reach 45 mph.![]() Yesterday seemed to be a good day, although the day didn't end as well as I hoped it would. I had been thinking of going to a gig, but I didn't, and that was partly because I was a bit tired after a very pleasant session of lots of fresh air (apart from occasional diesel fumes), and as hoped, seeing lots of vintage buses. All the details, plus loads of pictures of the old buses, and the usual notes about my night and this morning, can be seen and read in my complete archived page for today. |
Saturday 13th September 2025 |
08:27 BST
Yesterday was nice until
about 1pm, but the afternoon was definitely wet.
Having said that, it was mostly light rain, or drizzle
in the afternoon. The afternoon high was just 17° C,
according to the forecast, but it didn't seem to feel
too bad. .
Once again, today will be a lot like yesterday
(statistics say that saying today will be like yesterday
is usually more accurate than the weather forecast !).
Having said all that, reality is not like the forecast
at the moment. Much of the sky is quite dark, and there
has been on and off drizzle since the small hours of
today. It looks very damp outside ! As I write this it
seems that a thunderstorm is more likely than the
forecast sunny spells until 11am. The afternoon is
definitely shown as featuring light rain until 5pm. By
7pm the chance of rain will have fallen to just 6%, and
down to zero at 8pm. The afternoon will be 17° C again.
Tomorrow may start bright and sunny, and that may
include full on sunshine, but it all goes wrong after
midday. By 2pm there will probably be some light rain to
start with, but 4pm that light rain may change to heavy
rain. For once, the "Weather Warning" is about wind
instead of thunderstorms, and doesn't apply until
Monday.![]() Yesterday seemed anything but relaxed. Thanks to my "friend" Lee's talent for verbal diarrhoea when on the phone, my morning was ruined, and the knock on effect was to pretty much ruin the afternoon, although by the afternoon I had just about given up on the idea of doing anything useful. For what it is worth, my day is described, along with notes about my night and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Friday 12th September 2025 |
08:30 BST
Yesterday's weather was sort
of bland for a lot of the time. The morning
featured sunny spells, but by about 2pm the cloud had
thickened enough to give some rain, and for a while it
was heavy enough to give a flash of lightning, and
peal of thunder - and this time the BBC did not
forecast it (as they sometimes do, but it rarely
happens). Most of the afternoon rain was light, and it
was probably before 6pm when the rain had stopped, and
we had more sunny spells. The early afternoon briefly
peaked at 18° C. By midnight it was probably down to
the forecast 12° C.
Today could be a lot like yesterday. It has been,
and seems to still be a sunny morning, but maybe it was
degrade to just sunny spells soon. The afternoon could
feature light rain, but the early evening should see
sunny spells back. Of course the evenings are now
getting quite short, and sunset will be just after 7pm
tonight. The afternoon may only peak at just 17° C.
Tonight may be no colder than last night. Tomorrow may
start with some light rain - much of the night will also
see light rain. I don't actually believe it, but from
8am tomorrow we could see sunny spells for the rest of
the day, except for 4pm when there could be a light
shower. Tomorrow high may only be 17° C again.![]() Yesterday seemed a fairly relaxed day. I was expecting a parcel to be delivered by my regular postman, and I usually see him around midday, plus or minus half an hour. There was a possibility it might have been delivered by the Royal Mail van which is often seen earlier. I decided I would stay ready, but not washed, until the parcel arrived. It arrived almost when expected at about half past midday. The rest of my day, such as it was, is more fully described, along with the usual notes about my night and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Thursday 11th September 2025 |
08:18 BST
The weather forecast for
yesterday looked appalling, but the reality was much
milder. There was some rain, but it was less than
forecast, and although the sky did become very dark at
times, there was not a single peal of thunder heard,
and not a single flash of lightning seen. My memory is
a bit sketchy, but I think we actually had sunny
spells instead of rain at some times. It was not a
warm day. The temperature peaked at just 17° C, but it
didn't seem to feel that cool indoors, although it
probably did feel colder if there was some rain.
The first thing to say about today's weather is
that it definitely was 13° C earlier, and while the sky
was not quite clear enough for full sunshine, we have
had an almost non stop sunny spell - but only "almost".
There is a small chance of rain up to 1pm, and from 2pm
it is probable that it will rain. Even so, only light
rain is forecast, and the chances are fairly low for
some of those hours. From 6pm sunny spells may return,
and continue until sunset. Today may be warmer, by a
single degree, than yesterday. Today 18° C is forecast.
Clear skies tonight may see temperatures plummet.
Tomorrow is forecast to start at just 11° C. Tomorrow
may see a mix of mainly sunshine and sunny spells, but
like today there could be rain in the afternoon. Apart
from 4pm when there is a 42% chance of rain, the other
hours of rain are shown as low as 32%. Those hours may
well be dry, but when tomorrow arrives all these
predictions may be revised beyond recognition.![]() Yesterday I had grand ideas of going out. That could have been a walk to The Jolly Farmers, or maybe just a walk to the shops or something, but there was a problem - I was expecting two deliveries, and felt the need to be in when they arrived. In fact I only got one delivery, delivered by Amazon themselves. With the weather being possibly bad, it seemed no great hardship to stay in the dry, but it was not as wet out as expected. I have done my best to describe my day, night, and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |
Wednesday 10th September 2025 |
09:02 BST
Yesterday should have been
another mostly sunny day, but after midday it did get
very cloudy, and some of those clouds looked dark and
heavy. One of those clouds produced a light shower,
and enough rain fall to make the road look wet. Later
on it brightened up again. The afternoon only reached
20° C, but once again it felt OK.
Today is going to be dull and wet. Thundery
showers are forecast by the BBC, but not by The Met
Office, and so are unlikely to happen. However, there
could be some very heavy rain this afternoon. Drizzle
was forecast for 6am, but I think it is only now (9am)
that we are seeing some light rain, and then only by
noticing a few drops on the window. Maybe today might
not be as wet as expected ! This afternoon will only see
about 17° C, and in the rain that could feel quite cold.
Tomorrow may only see 17° C again, but there should be
less rain. The day may feature some sunny spells and
some light rain or drizzle.![]() I managed to do a little more than nothing yesterday, but it was a close cut thing. One oddity was that despite not eating that carefully, I seemed to lose some weight yesterday. It may have been a bit more if I had gone out for a walk as I intended to do. I have described all I can remember about yesterday, including notes about my night and this morning, and it can all be read in my complete archived page for today. |
Tuesday 9th September 2025 |
08:45 BST
Yesterday was another sunny
day - although it did degenerate to just sunny spells
for much of the afternoon. Although none was shown on
the forecast, and it is possible I am confusing it
with a recent day, but I am sure I can recall one
isolated shower early in the afternoon. It was over in
about 15 minutes, and the ground soon dried up. The
afternoon temperature only reached 20° C, but it felt
OK.
Today could be a lot like yesterday, but today
there is a 15% chance of rain at 1pm, and just 9% at
2pm. The maximum temperature will be 20° C again. With a
bright sunny, albeit rather cool start, it has the
feeling of being a nice day. Tomorrow could be very wet,
and although it may be the usual BBC fantasies, there
are some thunderstorms predicted in the afternoon. The
maximum temperature could be just 17° C.![]() I am finding it quite difficult to remember much about yesterday. This could be because very little actually happened. However a few important things did happen, and I can describe them....I think. One very important thing was that I washed my hair and had a shower ! As much as I can remember is described in my complete archived page for today, and which also includes a few notes about my night, and this morning. |

Yesterday was quite a sunny
day - sunny until mid afternoon, and then some sunny
spells. Unfortunately it clouded over when the blood
moon was due to rise, and the thickest cloud was, of
course, over in the east where the moon would rise !
The afternoon temperature rose to a quite warm 24° C
This morning has started quite chilly, but it
was, and so far continues to be, very sunny. From 11am
we may only see sunny spells, but they should last
through the afternoon. The last couple of hours of
daylight may see full sunshine again. For all that, the
afternoon high may only be 20° C. Tomorrow may
started even colder at just 11° C, but more sunshine and
sunny spells should see the temperature rise to 20° C
again. There will be a small chance of rain at 1 and
2pm, but the chances are that tomorrow will be dry like
today.![]() Yesterday was another day when not a lot happened. The main event for the day, the afternoon beer tasting session with Jodie, was cancelled because Jodie had had quite a night, the night before, and felt the need for a day of less (or no) beer. I had to amuse myself in the afternoon, but it was just an extension of the morning. All I did yesterday, which was not a lot, is all described, along with notes about my night and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |

Yesterday as another very
sunny, and dry day. Although having said that, I am
sure I can remember one or more times when we only had
sunny spells. The afternoon seemed warm enough, but
21° C was the highest temperature forecast, and
possibly the highest I saw on my thermometers. Even
last night, which was fairly clear as far as I am
aware, didn't seem to get too cool.
This morning probably did start at the forecast
16° C and it was, and still is very sunny. The sunshine
is forecast to last until 4pm when sunny spells will
take over until sunset. This afternoon should reach a
quite warm 24° C, and no rain at all is forecast for
today. Tomorrow may be dry, and there should be a
lot of sunshine. Some hours may only be sunny spells. It
may not be as warm as today, but a max of 20° C is still
quite pleasant.![]() I didn't really know what I was going to do yesterday, and I wrote that I thought I might go for a walk, even if just to Aldi. It was indeed the latter that I did. I didn't feel nearly as knackered as the previous time, but I still can't say it was easy enough to be enjoyable. That and the rest of my day, night, and this morning, are all described to some degree or another, in my complete archived page for today. |

It was brilliantly sunny
yesterday morning, and even when some clouds appeared,
around midday, we still had some nice sunny spells for
the rest of the day. It stayed dry, and the
temperature reached 21° C for one hour at 4pm.
Clear sky during the night (with the moon shining
brightly as I closed the curtains) meant a cold start
this morning. The forecast said 13° C at 7am, but it is
now up to nearly 17° C thanks to strong sunshine. The
forecast says strong sunshine all day long, and the
temperature should rise to 21° C by 1pm, and stay there
until it slowly starts to drop at 7pm, although it may
no drop far. The latest update say the temperature
should reach 22° C today. Tomorrow should be dry and
sunny, and it could warm up to 23° C. Even Monday may
not be too bad, but we'll have to wait until tomorrow to
get a more accurate forecast.![]() Being awake for a lot of the night before last had it's consequences yesterday. I didn't feel tired, or I didn't think I did, and yet I did an awful lot of snoozing. My day is more fully described in my complete archived page for today, and it included some brief notes about my night, and the morning of today. |

Yesterday started out very
wet, and there was one very heavy downpour of rain. it
was probably at 11am when a thunderstorm was forecast,
but there was no thunderstorm, and the very heavy rain
only lasted 5 or 10 minutes. There were nice sunny
spells in the afternoon, and I think they started
before the forecast time of 2pm. The temperature only
rose to 18° C, and it did seem to feel a bit cool when
the sunshine suggested it should feel warm.
This morning has definitely started with bright
sunshine, but it may only last until 11am. From 11am
there could be sunny spells until sunset. The
temperature is a bit cool as I write this, but may hit
21° C for one hour at 4pm. It should stay dry all day,
and also tomorrow. There will be plenty of strong
sunshine tomorrow, and the afternoon temperature could
reach 21° C again, but it may last for 4 hours this
time. ![]() This morning I have started writing extra late. The reason has it's roots in the early hours of the morning, but I can't seem to blame it on any one thing. Yesterday was not a great day, but it wasn't bad, and some of it was enjoyable. Even what I ate was nice, but maybe the home cooked late night burger was a bad idea....... My day is more fully described, along with notes about last night, and this morning, in my complete archived page for today. |

As expected, there were no
thunderstorms seen or heard yesterday, but there was
some torrential rain from time to time. Most of the
rain was not very heavy, and most showers did not last
that long (although there were a lot of them). There
were occasional sunny spells between showers. The
temperature was forecast to peak at 19° C, and that
seemed about right. Having said that, it did seem too
hot to wear a coat while walking.
The forecast for today looks rather better than
yesterday. If it turns out to be correct we may have
some nice sunny spells from about 2pm onwards. This
morning only light rain is shown (apart from the
unlikely thunderstorm at 11am), but as I type this it is
almost dark outside, and it is bucketing down ! The
afternoon should se the temperature rise from 16° C now,
to just 18° C - which is not much of a rise at all !
Even from 2pm when we should get sunny spells, there is
still ass much as a 20% chance of rain. It is going to
be a very cool night, and at 6am tomorrow morning it may
only be 11° C. It should soon warm up because tomorrow
may start with full sunshine, and be followed by sunny
spells for the afternoon until sunset. No rain at all is
forecast for tomorrow, and the afternoon should see a
pretty fair 20° C. The day after, Saturday, should see
much more sunshine, and the temperature rising to 21° C.![]() I had a fairly good day yesterday, but I am not sure why I think that because some of yesterday was quite wretched. The highlight of the day was my visit to The Jolly Farmers for my usual two pints of Guinness, but the walk to and from there was very arduous - and very wet on the way home. All this, and more, is explained in my complete archived page for today, and which also includes notes about my sleep (and a dream), and notes about this morning. |

There was quite a lot of rain
yesterday, but there was also many dry periods, and
even a few sunny spells (unless you blinked at the
wrong time). The maximum temperature was just 17° C,
but somehow that didn't feel too bad (indoors).
The forecast for today looks absolutely terrible
! The BBC weather forecast (above) shows loads of
thundery showers, but the Met Office forecast shows no
thundery showers despite still showing heavy rain. We
are definitely going to get wet, and my new guttering
will be having a severe test today, but maybe our ears
will not be assaulted by thunderclaps. The temperature
now is one degree higher than yesterday's peak, and
today we may see the heady heights (sic) of 19° C.
Tomorrow may start wet, but the afternoon may be dry
with some sunny spells. Once again the temperature may
peak at 19° C, but perhaps only for a single hour at
4pm.![]() Yesterday was a day that was semi good and semi bad, but this morning it seems the baddest was not that bad, and maybe I don't feel so bad this morning. I did get two important jobs done, but one of them was the root of the worst bits. All these vague hints and stuff will be explained in my complete archived page for today, and which also includes notes about my night, and this morning. |

The forecast for yesterday
included several times when rain was forecast. Only
light rain was forecast, but we did get a few very
heavy downpours. Fortunately none lasted for very
long, and for reasons that will be explained further
down the page, that heavy rain was actually welcome.
There were also some periods of fairly hot sunshine as
well, but I don't think the temperature exceeded the
forecast 19° C.
At the moment the sky only has a few fluffy
clouds, and most of the sky (I can see as I write this)
is blue. We have the full sunshine that was supposed to
finish after 7am. At this time (almost 9am) it should be
getting very cloudy, and in the next hour it could rain,
but somehow that doesn't seem likely, and at 10am when
the first rain is shown, there is only a 32% chance of
rain. All the rain shown on the weather chart is either
light rain or drizzle. Unfortunately the rain clouds
will block most sunshine, and today the maximum
temperature may only be 17° C. Tomorrow may be very wet,
and the BBC have thrown in some of their favourites -
thunderstorms. Tomorrow's temperature may be back to
peak at 19° C.![]() Yesterday was quite a good day for one unexpected reason. Without that reason it may have been another day when I could hardly bother to do anything. I didn't seem to feel all that bad yesterday, but I did feel a bit bad, and that was enough to dampen my enthusiasm for almost everything. All this is explained and expanded on in my complete archived page for today. |
